Architecture solution is definitely interesting and original, I would recommend to stay a night just to have the experience.

had some issues with the self check-in kiosk and was unable to reach the staff for a while but it was later resolved

room and toilet were clean. common area was well equipped with utensils and a working fridge. overall the open space concept was very nice and it was an extremely comfortable stay

As many mentioned, it was slightly noisier due to its location above the mall but I didn't mind. Would advice light sleepers to bring ear muffs to cancel out the noise for better sleep.

The view was amazing, and the room was big enough for one person. Very cozy and peaceful. Cute shops selling more artsy products were on the same floor so that was an interesting viewing.

I would appreciate to have some toilets for the hostel only, we have to share them with all of the warehouse visitors. The system of locking doors to separate the residents and the visitors is not that convenient. We should have the whole part of the warehouse for the hostel. For the price, we could have more stuff to be provided such as toothbrush, cotton etc...

The concept is really cool, having your own "room" facing the view over Cijin Island. The bathroom is really convenient, the shower is a room where you have your closed door shower and the space to hang out your clothes or change without being wet ! The common area is big enough. The guy at the reception is really helpful and speaks english. The location is amazing : nearby the tram, the metro and the ferry port.

The room and the view is amazing, the bed is comfortable, youbike docks right at the back of the building, lots of restaurants downstairs, and the whole ambiance is just so unique and well thought out, the staffs are also great!

Poor, inadequate, and confusing instructions for arrival. My taxi driver was freaking out since this is in a warehouse mall without a clear address. AC in tiny room uncontrollable. Had to turn it off. Bed on floor, hard and with crunchy sounding heavy linens. Overpriced for sure.

Fairly good staff, clean, good hot water, kitchen available with hot water for tea. Once found, location OK for ferry port.

Location, HOSPITALITY!!! Despite having great facilities, service was so disappointing, making this my worst hostel experience. My flight was delayed and unfortunately I ended up arriving very late. The hostel is inside a mall by the pier, so location-wise, I would not recommend this to solo female travelers arriving late or who love nightlife. Once I arrived, despite having all my payment details, the hostel demanded (over the speaker because the front desk was unmanned) that I still pay because they had only taken the "deposit." Unfortunately, their card machine was not working (it wouldn't read any of my cards, and only their wireless function was working). I asked if we can sort this out tomorrow morning (it was 1 am), but NO. If it weren't for the kind security guard who offered to swipe his card if I paid him cash, I would've never been able to check in. THEY REFUSED TO LET ME IN!!!! Finally, I was able to get in, but by that time, it was 2 am... This morning, I went to ask about wifi and towels because there were no instructions in the room (at least not in English, Korean, or Japanese). The front desk should be open at 9 am, but it is 9:20 am now, and no one is there or answering my calls... I am yet to see a staff member here in person after checking in. I had less than 24 hours in Kaoshiung, and most of it has now been wasted because of the frustrating communication and service.

Facilities were clean with great aesthetics (if you love Muji), view was spectacular).

It can get a bit noisy in the early mornings and late nights when people are coming back to the hostel or when the stores are preparing for their day. But it's not a deal breaker at all!

The place is clean, with convenient and wide variety of food and things to buy just downstairs. There is a good amount of privacy since the doors are locked using a key card.
