Staff are wonderful and really helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. Can also access their rooftop for see sunrise. Btw, hotel is next to Wangfeng bus stop, not Shizhuo.

The family room we had was truly beautiful with great view and attentions to lots of details (the tea set !). All the staff was very friendly and attentive and help us a lot. And very good breakfast !

Make sure you ask to see their tea plantation located above the rooms. The family that own the hotel and plantation are very sweet. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, cute Japanese design influence. Simple breakfast is provided. There is a local restaurant very nearby, food was good. The property is a a 20 minute from the entrance to Alishan Park/visitor center.

However, there were a few downsides. Unfortunately, the staff’s English was very limited, and there were no written instructions in English either. When we asked about the bus to Alishan, the main local attraction, the response was provided via Google Translate, directing us to drive to the village and contact the information desk there. I expected the hotel to at least have some basic information about the local buses to this popular destination. Breakfast was okay, but it was quite meat-heavy. A suggestion for improvement would be to ask guests if they have any food intolerances or dietary preferences before serving breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel recently and had a generally pleasant experience. The room was great, with a lot of wood accents that gave it a cozy feel. The bathroom was spacious, and I particularly enjoyed the large bathtub.

I did not feel that the service was up to standard as the hospitality I experienced was not as amazing as previous reviews. There was a lack on the no of towels provided and help was not rendered during check in and check out. Hosts are often busy with their own work and not concern about their guests. They only accept cash for their payment. It would be better if we can make the payment through booking.com as this would save us a lot of hassle. They requested for a deposit to be transferred to their account directly instead of through booking.com.

The room was amazing. I love the decor and the cleanliness. They provided top notch facilities like dyson hair dryer, Dyson fan and a tea set for us to enjoy a good cup of tea. There are 2 washer cum dryer available for their guests to use. Only the 5 and 6 floors are catered for guests.

Location. Nice decor, Japanese inspired. Nice sunrise on the rooftop. The bus from Chiayi left us in front of the property.

It was one bus stop away from Shizhuo, a major location for hopping on and dropping off public transport to and fro Alishan and Fenqihu, which made the property more suitable for driving travellers. The signage towards the accommodation wasn't the most prominent and took me a while to locate, with much help from a group of passing locals.

The lodging interiors, especially the light hinoki scent. The property provided us with an awesome view of both sunrise and sunset, and the sea of clouds that Alishan was famous for. The complimentary breakfast was delicious though serving could have been faster.

The hosts had little or no English, which for us English speakers was a problem. To get to alishan which was our plan had to take a bus and getting details on the actual timetable was an issue.

Breakfast was very good. Room was very comfortable. The view from balcony was great especially in the morning, when the sea of clouds could be seen. There is a Taiwanese restaurant next door which was great to get takeaway and eat on our balcony.
