Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNoisy old cat was a little annoying. Parking was a little unclear but worked out in the end. It was a little bit of a challenge using self check in but once someone showed up it was fine.
Lovely location across from the rice fields. Delicious bento box breakfast arrived in the morning. Very funky vibe to the place.

TaiwanBe aware of mosquitoes! (not in the room though, just outside)
We originally booked a double room and was upgraded for free to the family room which was much bigger! The overall aesthetic is so cute! We arrived late, and was able to do self check-in. Super cute cat. The location is perfect, so serene and quiet, with the view of the rice paddies and mountains right there. Free parking as well! Highly recommend and worth the price!

SingaporeNothing much. Maybe just to take note that the 2 rooms on the highest floor is accessed by a spiral staircase. Difficult for elderly or if carrying huge suitcases.
Quaint little place with about 5 rooms. Fuss-free self-checkin at the counter when we reached. Love the architecture and overall feel. Many cool tiny details down to the key. The bedding was super comfortable! We had 3 rooms. The bathrooms can be small for some rooms but very functional. We were allowed to eat our packed dinner at the cool library area (tables were old school desks, so cool!).

Hong KongThe owners and the staff of the B&B were the kindest people I’ve ever encountered in my travelling experience! When we arrived it was raining and getting dark, and I’ve ran out of cash to hire a taxi so the staff offered to ride out in the rain and got my family some takeout for dinner, I couldn’t believe how kind he was and I was very touched! The owners of the B&B were super nice and friendly, as my spoken Mandarin is not very good, the owner has helped us hired the taxi for our trips, and even took us to hire the electric bike and explain how it works as his English is excellent! He’s also introduced us to the local night market, which offered delicious local dishes and a different dinning experience. The location of the B&B is at the heart of the most beautiful area in Chishang town. You can rent the bikes from the B&B or rent an electric bike from the bike hire nearby. The B&B is very stylish combining traditional charm with a modern twist. The room I rent has two levels with a very high ceiling which I love, it’s very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is lovely and heartwarming, having the breakfast outdoor in front of the amazing view is one of the most relaxing experiences of my trip! I want to thank the owners and the staff sincerely as we not only have experienced the beauty of the scenery, but also the kindness of people from this beautiful town!

TaiwanShower room can have shower curtain to avoid water spreading. It can be better. I am not a cat person, the cat scares me a bit when the cat stand outside of the door and try to get in. Probably inform the visitor that there are pets in advance.

TaiwanOnly the hotel's oldest and least appealing room (the one we stayed in) is available on Booking. They have other rooms upstairs that look newer and super awesome, with views and cool design features like ladders up to lofts inside the rooms. We saw these in online reviews, but they don't seem to put these rooms on Booking because they are too popular and sell out already from local tourists. We rode an electric bike there, as it's a ways from the train station.
The location is amazing right by the entrance to the famous Brown Boulevard, and you can see the rice fields from the second floor balcony of the house. Host was friendly and helpful. Room was old style but clean and large and beds were comfy. Also appreciated the espresso machine in the morning, and mosquito incense placed by owner. My kids loved the resident cats.

GermanyStaff was not on site and only reachable per Whatsapp. They did not speak English. Location was also underwhelming, too isolated, so that we had to take a cab to have dinner. Considering that you can rent bikes everywhere, I'd rather recommend a hotel in town if you are not purposely looking for isolation.
Charming hotel, nicely decorated. The kids appreciated the few toys and the cat. The room was huge and very clean.

United Kingdom-site states breakfast is offered but when we enquired about this at check-in we were advised this was no longer available. - Staff not present much so we had difficulties asking information about the area and getting into town for food in the evening. - Room not cleaned, previous occupants towel left in room and previous occupants toothpaste splashed on mirror. -
-View of rice paddy fields and east access to tourist sites.

ThailandThough it's called a bnb, there is no breakfast. We didn't have towels in our room, which felt a big surprising for something billed as a 3 star hotel. I had also selected a specific room trying to avoid our toddler trying to climb the ladder to the loft, yet we were given a room with a ladder and loft area anyway. There was no one to speak to at any point in check-in or check out process, which was very impersonal and made it harder to rectify issues like the no towels and being given the wrong room. Overall it was fine for a night, but it didn't feel like good value for money and I wouldn't recommend to others.
Nice location.

SingaporeFor a start, this is not a B&B as there is no breakfast served. In fact, they even want you to pay for coffee (not fancy lattes either, just the normal stuff). While we enjoyed our quirky, spacious family room, overall at the price and given the marketing photos, I was underwhelmed. Looks like its set in a green field but actually is along a main road. Service was average (upon making an enquiry I was basically told to Google it myself). Were I returning to the area I’d book HowHas instead, which I ran past hence can confirm really is in a field.

Australia3 music tracks on repeat piped onto the balcony and common area. TV noise from guests in next room audible until ±10pm.
For a family with kids and luggage, the location was just OK. We got there on a 4-person electric golf-cart type device, rented 100m from Chishang train station. On a subsequent day, we took the cart to the nearby local attractions (Brown Ave etc), then visited Guanshan by train. When returning from Guanshan, it was a 4km walk from the train station. We just took that as an excuse to walk on the bicycle paths, because some of the bicycle route is on-road, so likely too dangerous for under-8s. Walked past Lake Dapo visitor area for a busker music performance and some ice cream cones. We took a cab (150TWD) back to the station the next morning. I think if everyone all had bicycles to ride, and could reliably ride the short stints on the road, then the location would suit better. The view from the balcony would be much nicer than accomodation in town; we had our breakfast/snacks there to absorb the view. View would be unbelievable in suitable rice season. Can also see bicycles/carts going up/down Brown Ave. There is a steep stair in the room, which the kids managed much better than adults did. Really inviting common area downstairs: we learned a fun card game: Pirahna. Also played Jenga. Some Rummikub pieces are missing. I think visitors could bring some card games to share. Nice selection of tea downstairs. Slept really well because of lots of exercise. Note that the location is also conducive to picking up a couple of local geocaches.
