Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyYes it has a belle view to the Kili when you are sitting for breakfast. The big plus here is the AC of the rooms and despite it's central location it is a quiet place with food locations and small supermarkets nearby. And finally a location with fully functional doors.

We arrived a bit late at the property due to a delayed flight, but the male staff member (sorry, I forgot his name) kindly waited for us and welcomed us with a smile. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and both hot and cold water in the shower. Breakfast was decent, with a lovely fresh fruit. The staff arranged a tour for us the next day, and since our flight wasn’t until the evening, they graciously allowed us to stay in the room until we left for the airport, without any extra charge. We’re very thankful for their hospitality.

GermanyNeighborhood not very nice, especially in the night. I did not face any problem, it is just not a paved road, and not the place where I would like to go out. There are shops and restaurants around, but I did not try them. Bed is not quite stable. Some things are obviously done by the owning family. One can see good motivation, but it is a little bit lacking of professionalism. They have some problem with the tap water, because even the hot water for tee was bitter. I got bottled water for the night, so it was not a big problem, but the breakfast was not so great. It was otherwise also very minimal.
If you need a night to stay before your flight, it is great value for price. Room is very tidy, there is hot water, there is water pressure. Really not expensive, and still quite nice rooms. There is a common area and breakfast area. Even it is on the first floor, it has some good style. In the end one can maybe even spend some days there in a group. Wifi was working.

PolandIt's a nice local place to stay for an affordable price. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They organized for us a trip to Arusha National Park, and we enjoyed it very much. Our highlight was the breakfast with the Kilimanjaro view.

The property was well maintained and clean. The staff were extreme helpful. I had an issue with my agent arranging a car to the airport and the guy at the hotel helped me and saved my morning! He arranged for a friend in his bajaji to hurtle towards the airport. I will be forever grateful to the guy.

GermanyNot about the property, but be ready to hear a bit Party sounds from the nearby garden clubs during weekend nights. But I found good sleep anyways.
Nice and clean room, good shower! Super friendly staff, always ready to help with any question! I loved the rooftop (Kili view if you are lucky!) where you get your breakfast and you can sit during day. Location a bit outside of the busy center, but very easy to reach everything in short time by Bajaji or by foot. Went there for Kili Marathon - and they even offered breakfast for us at 5am in the morning 🫶🏼🙌🏼

NetherlandsAlthough we only stayed at Belle for a very short time, we wished it would have been longer. Especially the staff is so kind & helpful. She booked our bustickets to the next spot for us in advance of our trip, which was amazing as we didnt know where to start! Also, when we arrived very late she ordered us some dinner from a restaurant nearby so we could chill & stay in. The next morning we had to leave very early (around 6) and they still made breakfast for us! So kind. The rooms are good too. Overall good place!

DenmarkIt was all good except the fact that they don’t accept cards, I didn’t have any cash with me and I was only staying for a night and I arrived at 11pm so it was way too late for me to walk to an ATM. Thankfully a friend who drove me to the hotel had cash with her and I was able to pay
The room was okay and cozy and the staff is super nice and friendly. Breakfast was also nice

Austrianothing, Thank you so much again for everything.
Loved this little bed and breakfast , the staff was amazing and extremely welcoming. The room with the 2 four-poster Beds was small but large enough to fit a family of 4 for 1 night. Shower was hot and clean. Excellent Value for money, we would definitely come back!

United KingdomLocation is a bit of a walk from anything. There is a very small supermarket within walking distance to get some water and chocolate bars but not much else nearby. Nearest restaurant was about 10 min walk away
The staff were lovely and very helpful, letting us leave a spare bag in a store room for a week while we climbed mt Kilimanjaro. They also helped organise taxis for us and even packed us up a small breakfast to take with us on the start of our hiking trip. Very kind people. The shower was nice, good warm water that didn’t run out.

KenyaThere is a fan but no air conditioning in the room. There is no desk and chair. Payments are only in cash so you can't pay on the app via card.
The staff were very helpful and cater for special meal requests. The location is not too far from the city center. The room was clean and the location is generally quiet. They have a nice common seating area which doubles up as a dining area.

Jessica was really friendly and very helpful. The room was perfect, exactly what we needed with a comfortable double bed and good en-suite. The staff were very kind and made us a packed breakfast even though we left really early in the morning. Fantastic value for money, would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Moshi.

SwitzerlandThe only note I can make is about the beds, we were staying in 3 different rooms and 2/3 had some issues with the mattress/bed. But the most pressing issue was resolved quickly with a change of room.
The service and the staff were really nice, they are super welcoming and helpful. The place is clean and neat, well located to easily reach the center and the bus stand with a bajaji for around 3k-5k To Sh. The best part is a restaurant nearby that can deliver food and it's delicious!!! (It takes a bit of time, roughly 1-1.5h to get delivered, but ita totally worth it!)
