Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast is extremely basic, and while it is served in the hotel’s “restaurant,” the restaurant itself is quite simple. It’s better to eat elsewhere. We encountered an issue with one shift at reception (everyone else was fine). During a nighttime medical emergency (severe stomach issues), we had to wake up the receptionist, who was unpleasant and unhelpful, claiming not to understand English. Unfortunately, this happened at a critical moment, but it was an issue with a single individual rather than the overall service.
It is well-located and offers great price-to-performance value, with large, quiet rooms. The hotel is next to the SBU, situated in a closed enclave with access through a checkpoint—an added security benefit unless you see it differently, in which case, you may prefer another option. Due to these security measures, access is through a less visible back entrance within the block. After being dropped off by a taxi, you’ll need to walk past the gate and then go up a few floors via a secure door, with no elevator. While this adds an extra layer of security, it can also be inconvenient—if that’s a concern, you may want to consider other accommodations.

Very friendly staff. Ludmyla and Ruslan were very professional and knowledgeable about the city. They gave me great recommendations of where to go and were always very attentive of all my needs. Location is also fantastic, right in the historical downtown of Kyiv! Highly recommended.

No real bar area as such, but otherwise hard to fault
I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it's in the perfect location, right in the city centre. Good breakfast options and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are to a high standard, very spacious and the hotel overall is spotlessly clean. Very good value for money.

WiFi can definitely be better. I would really appreciate if the banner at the small roof above the entrance would be changed from “Kiev” to “Kyiv”. It should be done at this point.
Great location, heart of the city but hidden from the noise. People in the hotel are friendly and help you with whatever you need. I have stayed several times at the hotel, the rooms are always very clean. I loved that there are cups, kettle, tea and coffee in the room.

Laundry service was charged per item of clothing, which adds up quick. It would be better in my opinion to just charge a flat rate per load of laundry.
Great hotel in the center of the city. Make sure to get the included breakfast if you want hotel breakfast. Breakfeast is decent if you want to save time in the morning and don't want to go out.

Some furniture (sofa and chair) needs to be renovated as it had old stains. The bed clothes were very clean and white but also old. We were with a small child who ate cookies on the dovet cover so it was ok for us. Generally everything was good, it’s looks like initially the owner invested money to have a proper level of the hotel but probably war has bad influenced to keeping everything on top.
It was very clean. The receptionist is very kind and polite woman and other staff pleasant and helped when we need it. The room has everything. Breakfast were good enough. Private parking is good too, there here enough places to park the car.
