A charm of its own, with plenty of room for us all.

The shower downstairs is a bit of a tight fit, but the one upstairs works great!!

Definitely quirky but plenty of space and beds were comfortable, the basketball court got the boys outside (just be sure to wear shoes). I appreciated the hosts responsiveness when we had questions.

We had trouble maintaining electricity, we blew fuses twice because of all the air conditioners that were running.

This house was super cute and had a ton of beds! Our group had plenty of Ty of room for sleeping and hanging out. Owners were super responsive and came when we needed them.

The downstairs half bathroom is so small and cramped, which seemed unavoidable giving the age and layout of the house, but it really needs some sort of ventilation. I didn’t notice the lack of dishwasher until I was ready to load one up with a bunch of dishes. Our kids got a crash course in what it’s like to do a lot of dishes by hand, assembly line style. We made it work. There are definitely still a lot of areas in the house that are in need of updating, but again, given the age of the house it was understandable. Someone who likes their lodging to look brand new probably wouldn’t like it. And the neighborhood isn’t the greatest, but that seemed to be in line with much of the central Spokane area. The house is right next to a community policing hub though, so I never worried about our actual safety.

The house is fairly small but it felt larger than its square footage. There are so many beds! Each of my three kids were able to spread out and have their own space, while we still had ours. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room couch and chairs were comfortable. For as old as this house is (and definitely quirky!) there were so many modern functional and design updates that made the house feel well cared for. We all got a kick out of the uneven floors, and while a shower in the master bedroom is indeed unusual it really worked out nicely. The master bedroom is open and spacious and being on the main floor I could escape the chaos of three teens while still being able to keep an ear and eye on everyone. I also really liked the spacious and fenced backyard. This would have been very welcome when our kids were younger, with plenty of space to run around and even ride some sort of wheeled toy. The weather was too cold and rainy for us to spend much time out there though.
