The rooms were very nice and clean plus there was a nice pool and free tea and coffee. It felt very cozy.

There could be more cutlery and some decent wine glasses rather than plastic. Maybe a newer tv too, although we didn’t spend much time watching it.

The location was amazing. Just off Duval St. The staff were very helpful and they upgraded us to a lovely room. The environment was very nice and although an older property we were very comfortable. The pool and surrounding garden area was stunning.

Our room was outside the main area of hotel. Our 'balcony' wrapped round the entire building, no view and was the access to all rooms on this floor, not conducive to sitting out. Kitchen useful but cutlery/utensils on low side.

Garden and pool area in main gated part of hotel was great. Rooms here had a lovely aspect. It was very convenient to walk into town.

NO KIDS!!! Being a parent myself it was nice to go somewhere and stay somewhere that you don’t hear kids crying, yelling, adults yelling at their children. Douglas house is very laid back, relaxing and quiet. It was very clean, staff were amazing and welcoming.

Parking lot was one block away but was easily accessible.

L7 was very clean and organized. Was a large room. New paint and many modern updates. Our balcony faced the main office across the street. Every day in the morning the staff rigorously swept and cleaned the entrance area on the stairs in all of the property. Pool and gardens exceptionally clean. Tea and coffee were offered at the pool free of charge. All staff were very helpful.

The 1 thing missing was a small breakfast option. Pastries would have been great. Nothing major just a small something that you’d only need a napkin , no silverware or plates to have to wash

The bed in room 5 was hard as a rock. Husband and I didn't sleep well at all either night. I would stay again just not in that room.

The property was in an excellent location. Our room was a very nice room. We had room 5. Parking was convenient and the property is beautiful and well maintained. Coffee and tea are available any time out by the pool. I would stay again.

The room had a very strong "cleaning chemical" smell but thats not enough to keep us from coming back. I would rather know they cleaned the room then to smell food or perfume from a previous guest.

We originally found this gem while on a cruise vacation. We immediately sparked an interested because our last name is "DOUGLAS". Hubby surprised me a year later for a long weekend in Key West. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing (small but clean and heated). The house was in close proximity to shopping and eating but far enough away from the rowdy crowds. Perfect for an adult weekend get-away.

Douglas House is a jewel of a hotel, a minute from Duval Street yet secluded and quiet. Check in was easy, Kim was very helpful and we felt at home. Each room is spacious, well decorated, and has an outside area that is so pleasant to hang out in. We enjoyed the pool and free coffee. There is a lovely, quiet vibe. We loved staying at Douglas House and will recommend this gem to our friends and family!

Side street parking in the keys is limited, use their parking lot with a pass.

Near Duval St corner, with a private parking lot down the block. Walkable to many many breakfast choices, and to rentable carts. The House had a nice small pool deck with tropical garden cafe areas, as well as some rooms had an outside patio deck table. The fresh rooms were large, modern furnishings with tv, a small kichenette, and large bathroom with towels. AC was controllable and cold. Staff and desk was always working and friendly. A clean quiet tropical oasis.

There was really none, but an AC guide or front desk paper to know how to adjust could help reduce any night noise. Overall, no complaints.

A mid-street location, off Duval St., with a small included parking lot on next corner was walkable. The pool was cool/warm all day but deck was hot, wear sandals. Loved the comfortable modern furniture, small kichenette refrig, micro, toaster, and wow-designer bathrooms, with many towels! The AC is able to control and quiet, and the rooms gets cold fast. Most rooms have a private tables outside decks, and even a tropical cafe garden.
