How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was basic and could be more luxurious.
Being so close to the park was great! When it got hot, we were able to go back to the hotel and take a break.

The hotel is an older hotel that has been renovated. You can tell where it has been added on to and the hotel is like a maze. It can be hard to find stuff.
The location was amazing. Easy walk to and from the park and the beach is beautiful.

At the TGIF restaurant regarding the appetizer, only (7) small potato skins for $12.50 was a disappointment. Should have at least a dozen for that price or maybe 8-9 bigger potato skins. There were four of us in my family and one of us only got one potato skin.

Indoor pool was overly crowded so we skipped it. Check in was a little trickier with a 3rd party booking. Presented some issues with getting discounted park tickets, despite what the Booking.com website stated.
Comfortable, updated rooms. We didn't have a great view, but the property over all was really lovely. On site parking was great--easy access to park the next day (and 1 hour early) was a bonus.

room was dirty and called all day to check in early if possible but they blamed it on housekeeping. why was it dirty?
love the location been many times but staff was ghost crew and closed at 12pm Monday so we couldn't even stay and enjoy our time.

Was told o got the ticket paackage when I called the hotel directly, and ended up having to come up with over 250 dollars for park tickets.

Both outdoor jacuzzi spas jets not working on our last 2 stays
Love ❤️ the pools , the hot tubs , the resort like atmosphere. Been a gold passer for years but not one to ride at CP but also love just hanging out at CP, so every aspect all in 1 location is Wonderful!! My parents brought us here to stay as far vacation as age 4, I remember Hotel Breakers , my parents still after 61 yrs of marriage recall their best memories at Cedar Point and staying at Hotel Breakers !! Staff friendly accommodating!!💞💞

When I booked online the room seemed to be bigger. It was very disappointing for the price I paid to see how small the room was and how out-dated everything was. The bathtub was not clean and the tub and fixtures are very old. The bed was very uncomfortable as well.
I enjoyed how close it was to the park and the beach.

Every time I’m there.. it’s a little frustrating. This time they wouldn’t let me use the luggage rack on my own… so instead I made 4 trips to my room. I just think the little things matter… if someone’s asking for help… help.
The best thing about this place is location.

Could not connect to WiFi in the room. We had a faulty TV, service could not get it swapped out for us, partly because they are old and dumbly attached to the furniture. Left a half working TV in our floor because the new one could not connect to service. Waisted our one night stay, because several service people were in and out of our room for over an hour. Requested cancelling the remainder of my stay, Hotel Breakers said they could but I'm still fighting with Booking.com to get my refund. Booking.com says that they are unable to contact Cedar Point Hotel Breakers. Hotel Breakers told me they sent the refund back to Booking.com, but I've still not received my refund or any communication from Booking. On hold with them now and I've been disconnected twice while waiting on hold.

When I booked it said free breakfast but when got there the check in said it wasn’t included. I think they should put a little coffee pot in room instead of 6 Or 9 dollars for coffee.
I liked the hotel being in the middle of the waterpark and the riding park easy access
