Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThat you have to ask for your room to be cleaned, and they tell you in a text if you want it cleaned you have to ask. When I'm on a getaway I leave my phone alone check it once a day calls only so never got my room cleaned. Would be nice if there was a sign with that information.

United StatesThe map needs to be a little better with the different floors. The layout is not of the usual hotel, it’s kind of like someone played Tetris putting it together. Once you figure it out though, it’s totally fine.
The staff was very friendly and helped with any needs. the pool area has a real deep end (8ft) and the chairs are comfortable.

United StatesThere was part of a PB&J under our AC in the room, It was quite hard so I am assuming it had been there few days. But seeing as I was on the ground looking for an earring back and that's the only reason I saw it I understand how it was missed... The beds felt pretty small for a "double" but were comfortable. The lighting in the room was not great at all, some of the plugs and UBS outlets did not work. The phone on the nightstand did not have any cords or any way to plug it in so we could not call for more towels, which honestly we found comical but could annoy someone easily.
Check in staff were wonderful and welcoming. Friendly and professional. They gave great instructions to our room as well. The pool area was fantastic, we really enjoyed our time out there. Water pressure in the shower was decent, not amazing but not awful. The complimentary breakfast was mostly delicious and had a good variety. The décor was eclectic and entertaining. Fun but easy atmosphere throughout. Location was superb to everything south Austin has to offer. Great stay and we would most definitely stay here again.

AustraliaConstant smell of weed on third level was gross. Hotel still not doing housekeeping due to covid which was a bit behind the 8 ball, given we had stayed at a number of hotels on our trip prior to this, which all had housekeeping back up and running.

United StatesOur one and only complaint is regarding the on-site restaurant, Opal Divine’s. The food quality is not very good. In our opinion, the food quality has deteriorated since we’ve been staying there the past three years. It appears that this may be deterring guests from using the restaurant as much as it might be used if the quality was better. The place is normally very empty, aside from breakfast. This visit, I had a quesadilla as well as chicken tender meal. Neither was very good. Obviously, if the restaurant was better it would be well used due to the convenience of an on-site option.
We LOVE the Aiden! We have stayed there several times before, and will again! Our daughter lives in Austin so we visit as much as possible. It’s not the fanciest hotel, but we really love it’s laid back, funky feel! The staff is super friendly and helpful! We loved the pool furniture upgrades this visit as well as the new exterior painting/murals!

United StatesRoom smelled bad, bed was broken down and very uncomfortable, also the bed clothes smelled bad. There were roaches. Our coffee creamers were curdled in our in room coffee set up. The pool and hot tub closed too early. The location is near things to do but the gates to all but the front entrance were closed and locked which made it very hard to get back to the hotel because the only useable entrance is on a one way access road. GPS kept sending us around in circles trying to get us to go in the locked gate. Very frustrating!! Got a text from management checking if everything was ok. I told them all the problems and all I got was an automated response! Never did they contact me with a solution! Will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!
