How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

When walking to room noticed alot of doors just didn't close right on rooms including ours seemed too small for locks to close proper. Very dated feeling in rooms, they are trying to update things but still a work in progress i guess. Pillows on beds are the size of throw pillows which is odd, I called down for more pillows and they did bring me some regular size ones (did take a long time for housekeeping to come) Security deposit is more then the room costs. Larger chain hotels down the road were only $50 for deposit and here it was $150 not a deal breaker just saying...
The price was reasonable for one night after our flight. Check in was easy. Bar and resrurant right on site and Speedway right beside. Loved they had direct TV in room way more channel choices then other hotels.

No hot water for bath. Warm at best
The breakfast was nice n the parking lot was well lit. But did see females yay weren't staying at hotel come in n out at VERY late hours while I was smoking in parked car.

It was so cold INSIDE the hallways,lobby, resturant, anywhere except inside my own room.I wanted to go into restaurant and eat so went down there and turned around went back in my room,with a winter coat on everyone was huddled and cold !If trying to cut costs, don't turn off the heat in the middle of February in Michigan!I will never stay there again due to that and I ask the front desk for a toothbrush.....they didn't have any !Every hotel has toothbrushes, but if needed he offered me toothpaste

Heater in room was slow to heat room, lack of bathroom counter space, lots of loose floor tiles on hallway, restaurants closed on Sunday.

Repair lobby bathroom
Breakfast not as good as usual but we arrived early and some things weren’t ready. NIce to use glass dishes which were taken away by staff. We had dinner the night before and food was good but only one waiter and a lot of time he was out of site. Bathroom in front entrance was out of order and our room was way at the back. We had had a long travel time and wanted to use a bathroom but had to wait till we were checked in. Booked in Booking.com and price was higher at the hotel, even though I had my confirmation from Booking.com. Clerk told me to contact them.

New owners of bistro changed menu and food not fresh or many healthy options
later check out, clean guest laundry, fitness center, nice friendly bar, helpful staff ,store prices not too bad and free breakfast small but not bad

Cleanliness, misleading advertising on bistro, aesthetics. Since when was the definition of a “bistro” a poorly attended minibar with a couple of vinyl era stools scattered about, no lights on, and some crappy 2 day old tuna melts on the menu? Reminded me of “The Shining” Place was advertised like it was Hells Kitchen

It could use an update
Nothing fancy. Clean, close to the airport, can leave your car til you return and on time shuttles. I wouldn't stay here for my honeymoon, but for a quick overnight, it's perfect!

Very dated. Popcorn ceilings. Carpet paint. Bath needs an overhaul. Could be an outstanding hotel but need to do a total revamp. Breakfast excellent as we're the staff.

Our room smelled bad like mildew. We sprayed but the smell did not leave.
