Sliding door was very hard to open. Had to pull up and almost took two people to open. Once out had to get someone on the inside to help getting the door open to get back in. The balcony railing was loose, one of the chairs was broken. The kitchen sink faucet fell off. Report requesting maintenance but no one showed up. Left a phone behind. Called reported it, went online and completed the report. A few days later I saw the phone location move around the hotel grounds. It ended up at someones home. I started sending alarms. Finally got a message they had the phone and I could pick it up at their home. Go to the back of the house and call when I arrive. It was a worker from the hotel. I requested the phone be turned into the hotel. I called the hotel and after a couple of conversations it was confirmed the worker had the phone. That worker did call and made arrangements to mail it to me. Watching the phone location for movement but it has not as of today.

We asked for a lower level room and the one we got had an obstructed view of ocean. We could only see the ocean if we stood in the left corner of the balcony because of the wall and stairs going up to the crows nest restaurant. We had to park in deck across the street from hotel the entire week.

The room was nic, but there were some areas that needed some cleaning before we could get settled in like the shower heads and the sheets for one bed.

I feel our room could have been cleaner .I found a bottle top behind a throw pillow on the chair.. There was also an inch area in the wall with paint missing and some hair in the bathroom. The indoor pool and the outside of the hotel "feels" old (this feeling didn't transfer to our room which was beautiful) Expect a fairly long wait to check in. Unnecessary to unload before checking in as there are 3 buildings. For the schooner building the elevators (which worked great and had no issues or long waits) were located in the middle of the parking garage. We weren't directed to elevators and spent a dumb amount of time looking for them with our luggage. No late check out options (neither complimentary or paid)

It's important to know that there are 3 buildings to this hotel. We were in the schooner building. I believe this is the oldest building. That said, the rooms were above expectation. We stayed in room 536 and it was updated and had an ocean front room. The outdoor pool area is modern with a lazy river, two swimming pools, grills, and shuffle board. The indoor pool area has two hot tubs, a small lazy river, an indoor pool, and two water slides. *Important note: make sure your kids are wearing a pool bracelet or they can't do the slides. Pool bands weren't required for any other area. Slides are monitored and they have specific hours This hotel is on the southern most part of the South end of Myrtle Beach.. Not far from market common. Not walking distance to much. It is in a good and safe area however there is a rough area about 2 blocks away... No safety issues though nor would you even know unless you truly know the area.

I asked for utensils several times and didn't get them. And our table could have been bigger. Washers and dryers could have worked better. Maybe have some in the rooms.

I liked that there were several options of pools, lazy rivers or hot tubs to use. Also we had a gift shop in our lobby that was open later that had several items if u needed different things. They were prompt bringing u new towels the next day and taking ur trash.

The elevator situation was a headache. Waited 25 minutes to get on. 2/3 elevators working.. Room could use some upgrading. Sinks stopped up. Mold on sealant around the bath tub. Ice machines were down on several floors.

    Staff was friendly.

The place was packed and it took a while to get an elevator up or down. The slides closed at 6 and the breakfast buffet for almost $11 wasn't worth it when most hotels offer pretty much the same thing free of charge. The room had the bare minimum when it came to dishes or silverware.

Loved being on the 14th floor the view was absolutely beautiful. There was so many pools and things for kids to do. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room itself was very clean and so were the facilities and I loved that you cold step outside and be on the beach it was so nice being that close to it and being able to swim and walk on the beach then go right back up to your room.

Room was outdated and dirty. Beds and sheets were clean. Floor was filthy with carpet patches covering several spots. To walk around without shoes on resulted in “grocery store feet.” Kitchen was unsatisfactory as it wasn’t stocked with anything to use the oven. Wallpaper was being held up by pushpins. Although the property claimed to be non smoking, cigarette smoke as well as the smell of marijuana was all over. 3 young people were smoking marijuana and drinking straight from liquor bottles by the pool on Sunday night.

Amenities were nice. Very kid friendly. All inclusive, no need to leave property.
