Rooms a bit small so not a lot of room if traveling with more than one suitcase. The neighborhood is busy so might be loud to some people.

I read reviews about the noise which I was concerned about. However, I wasn't bothered by the noise from the street too much. It was the noise from the air-conditioning system that really bothered me. It was so loud so I had to turn it off when I slept.

The location was convenient. They also give you cookies on arrival which were delicious.

Great front desk team - really cheerful, quick and willing to help. Good location close to Times Square - Broadway - Macys - Penn Station etc...Walkable in minutes. Housekeeping needs to be improved, floors are not vacuumed and there was a blood stain on one of the beddings we asked 2 times and 3 rd time it was changed but not the stained one unfortunately... Rooms are extremely smallll. As İ was reading the conments about how small the rooms were, 21 m2 how small it can be was what I thought but it is really quite not possible to move in the room, let alone opening a suitcase. In conclusion it was a nice stay for 8 nights but I would not stay here due to the size of the rooms :(

Nothing really, except the shower slightly leaked (not a big deal at all just used a hand towel to contain any spill)

Location was phenomenal! A brief walk from Penn Station - subway, train, and bus were all right there and super easy to get too. Great places to eat near by and we could easily walk to big attractions like Times Square, MSG, Empire State etc. Facilities were fantastic and it was far less squishy than we were expecting.

The area around the hotel late at night after 10pm was not safe. The staff was typical, however could be friendlier.

The breakfast menu has a la carte options although the hotel has and buffet. Perfect location if you need to use metro stations. The room had a perfect view of the Empire state building and was very clean.

Like all hotels in the area, the rooms are a little small and you might have to wait a bit for the elevator, but if you've gotta be in midtown, it's better than most options.

I love that Doubletree still does the warm chocolate chip cookies. Classic. This place was comfy and clean and its location—while chaotic—is helpful if you've gotta be in midtown. It checks all the boxes if you need to be in this area for a night or two.

*It would have been nice if all the USB ports worked in the room. We had to go to Target to buy things to accommodate them not being usable. *Ice machine for every floor. It was inconvenient having to go to another floor to get ice. *Windows open to 2.5 inches vs 1.5 inches

Fit just perfect. After traveling all day from the West coast, we were welcomed by Benjamin and a cute girl at the front desk (forgot your name - sorry! She won the Christmas sweater contest). They made our check-in seamless, they were friendly & answered all of our 'tourist' questions without hesitation. Our King bed w/ Empire State Building view was perfect for us, two people - there is no way a 3rd could fit, small but to be expected for NYC. The view from our 26th floor room was well worth the extra $ for it, it even had a fridge which helped out tons! Location is good - close to a lot of things. Penn Station is a couple feet away and Times Square about 10 minutes. Location is a perk but the staff is why we will return to this specific location. One night, I mentioned nonchalantly to the front desk that the ac was limited to going to 68º and even with the window opened (max 1.5 inches), the room would not cool. We need the room cooler than 68º to sleep comfortably - when this was mentioned, a manager (I believe) popped her head out of non-noticeable doors to an office - and said that she could help w/lowering of the temp. Instead of ignoring the issue (like a lot would have) she made herself known & contributed to finding a solution! Every staff member that we came into contact with was pleasant and friendly. A+ to the DoubleTree TEAM for going above & beyond!! It starts at the top - this manager is a go’getter & you’ll see that her team is too. Because of this - we'll be back! =) Thank you!! See you guys September 2025. Oh - and those complimentary cookies (YUM!!) and bottles of water ... it's the little things :o)

The bed was wide but slightly shorter than standard, so my feet poked off the end (I'm 5'10"/1m78). The rooftop bar was meant to be open during my stay but one time I tried to use it I was told that it was closed as there were no bar staff. There was some street noise but I expected that, and it was fine with ear plugs.

Handy midtown location and great views from the room (I booked a room with a view) and in particular the rooftop bar. The room and bathroom were nice and comfortable, with nice lighting and good blackout curtains as well as a sheer curtain, and I didn't notice any noise from other rooms or the corridor. I appreciated having a wardrobe and fridge in the room. The staff were friendly.

Fran and her entire team were exceptional during my stay. They were courteous, polite, and extremely helpful – a rare find, especially in NYC. The hotel’s proximity to all the major attractions in Manhattan was incredibly convenient. Additionally, the easy access to the subway and connectivity to JFK Airport was a plus. Thank you for providing such a fantastic experience, i will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Lifts from lobby to rooms were a nightmare. You could have been in the lift for 5+ minutes waiting or waiting to get off at your floor (we were floor 3). Expensive breakfast which we didn’t opt for.

I enjoyed the cookies upon arrival. Showers great size and room always cleaned and bed made. great sized TV in room, overall really comfy and enjoyable stay.
