The location was excellent, with a great view of the Bay. The host was amazing, very friendly and responsive and helpful. Everything was very comfortable and I had everything I could need.

I loved my stay here and it was everything that i thought it would be. The title well describes the place. It's comfortable and in a great neighborhood. Its unique with alot of character. The amenities inside are a plus to make your stay even more comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

The furniture was very nice but it felt a little crowded. In order to get to the bathroom, one must go up three steps (indoors)to the original part of the house so we needed to be extra careful at night. I would be happy to stay here again.

The studio apartment was lovely and in a wooded, hilly area of Berkeley. It only took a couple minutes by car to get down the hill to the center of town. We did not meet the owner but they communicated by email. We appreciated the microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker.

I was surprised that there was no television, but I made do with my computer. The refrigerator is very small, so do not buy large bottles of water.

The room is very unique. Lots of closet space, plenty of electrical outlets and USB connections, great wi-fi, very queit, great water pressure in the shower, comfortable bedding.

It was a little noisy early in the morning as there was construction happening at the property next door.

It was a large spacious study apartment with fridge, microwave, and tea pot. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Host was very communicative. I would most likely stay again.

The lack of a sink in the room discouraged any attempts at preparing food. Way too much old "stuff" in the room, like chest of drawers, flower vases, old personal things, etc.

This is a converted garage. The only light came from 2 small windows on one side making it very dark. I thought it was ok for the price, but my wife did not and we had to leave after one night and of course, the policy on refunds is... sorry.

The photos are totally misleading. The whole place is extremely tired and obsolete. As some other reviews pointed out, it's probably a (lamely) repurposed garage. There's a stench inside that does not go away even with open windows. When it rains you can hear it leaking somewhere (perhaps hence the odour). The bathroom is cold and uncomfortable. Everywhere you are faced with handwritten notes explaining the limitations of the crumbling facilities, for instance about a couple of electrical pieces on the same time leading to outages. Not a big fan of writing negative reviews, but felt it necessary here to warn fellow travelers.

Location is nice, albeit hardly walkable. Great view from the little tired windows you get in the "studio"

Property was not available on scheduled time. The carpets, sofa had old stains on them. This is a converted garage not an upscale place, It was inconvenient to get into the place and into a tiny bathroom. The room was very cold and everywhere you looked there were stickers asking you to minimally use the electric outlet,
