Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe price, very expensive at £350+ per night but this was New York all over at this time of year. Lifts were slow, its a busy building & lifts at peak times was a bit painful. Housekeeping every other day. Asked for a 35% per day deposit for room charges, but couldn't really work out why they needed it, there was no bar / additional meal service you could rack up on your room.
Included breakfast

United StatesThe hotel is 40 floors, but it only has 3 elevators that can carry up to 7 people each. We stayed on the 11th floor, but we had a hard time ever getting an elevator that wasn’t full to go downstairs. when trying to go upstairs there was often a line for the elevator, and it could be a 10 minute wait just to get in the elevator to go back to your room from the lobby. When not carrying suitcases, we opted to climb the 11 floors of stairs, as this was the only way to get down in the morning without waiting 20-30 min, especially during breakfast hours. Besides the elevator issues, the building seemed to have bad hot water. With the shower turned to the hottest setting, the water ranged from cool to lukewarm. Hot water is a pretty basic essential for a hotel. The window was also poorly insulated and allowed some cold wind through even when closed and locked. Also, not an issue for us, but housekeeping only comes every other day.
Good location near Times Square, easy subway access, close to theaters. Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast included in stay but get there early to get a seat. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette is a nice perk, but we never used it.

United KingdomTatty room, bedding was really poor. 1 hot shower throughout our stay. I did report the lack of hot water twice to reception. Never had breakfast , rubbish choice, that's if there was any left, the dining area was really basic with very little space to accommodate if most of the customers were to have breakfast. The lifts had a mind of there own, going up and down missing our floor on several occasions.

United StatesThe toilet dripped with water like a leaky faucet the entire stay, the toilet water also ran noisy every five minutes, had to sleep with door closed. There are no ice machines on guest floors. The elevators skipped the floor I was on several times, had to give up on them for breakfast and walked up/down stairs. The breakfast was meager, only two choices of protein (one being eggs which I’m allergic to) and surprised no waffle irons or pancakes makers available near toaster (other hotels I’ve stayed in have those for breakfast, they just leave batter in a pitcher for guests). Staff were very friendly and I would’ve loved my room more if it wasn’t for the toilet. I needed a cheaper hotel near port authority and this hotel fulfilled that. I’ve stayed in hotels far worse.
The mini kitchen and fridge w/ freezer was nice, staff were all pleasant.

United StatesThis is not a fault of the hotel but the area has a lot of shady characters which makes walking around at night a bit uncomfortable. This may or may not be a problem for some people. The first room we got when we checked in had a leaky bathroom sink and the floor felt sticky dirty. We reported the sink issue to the hotel staff and got a room change which was a minor improvement since we at least now had a working sink but the floor in our second room also felt sticky/dirty. Fortunately we brought our own slippers so that helped. Like others have said, the elevators in the hotel are an issue. 3 elevators for a hotel with 40 floors is wholly inadequate for the level of people traffic. Several times we had to use the staircase to get down to ground floor cause we just got tired of encountering packed elevators. We didn't have mobility issues but this can be a huge issue for those people that do. The included breakfast was....adequate. Not many options. You get your requisite scrambled eggs, a protein (we got various forms of sausages when we stayed) , and a carb (we saw pancakes, waffles, and tater-tots when we stayed). Coffee was plentiful and hot with a decaf option. Several juice options. Packaged cereals. Fruits (usually bananas and apples. One day we got oranges). Choice of toast or bagels with butter/cream cheese/ jams. It can get quite crowded for breakfast so do get down early.
The location of the hotel relative to attractions/transportation/restaurants is actually quite good. The room was quite comfortable and the TV had streaming options available. Clean bedding and towels.
