The cabin was VERY rustic and there were shear curtains with no way to block out the light for sleeping. Every electric plug was filled so hard to change phones. I believe inside the hotel could have been better.

    The staff was friendly.

    Everything was delightful!

Such a great location and so cozy and comfortable! We loved staying here and being so close to Exit Glacier plus easily drivable to Seward for restaurants and a grocery store. The Salmon Bake next door is amazing and was our best dinner in Alaska. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful three nights with my husband, myself, and our young son.

Everything was quite nice. It’s not a 5 star hotel, however, you’re treated very well. Limited services, you are welcome to bring your own food and eat it in the dining area.

The cabin accommodation had a terrible toxic smell inside! We could not tell if it was mold or some kind of insecticide spray that had been used. The furnishings were shabby, and the blinds did not allow for darkened condition in the late night sun. When we asked the on-site managers about the smell in the room, they claimed no knowledge, but that they would advise the owners. We find this hard to believe as they live on the property. Finally, the electrical outlets were few and many plugs were attached to a power strip with only one available outlet to recharge our electronic devices. Corner platform bed made bathroom access difficult at night as you had to climb over your partner and the closest was scary. (see 2 pics)

    Convenient location.

The flooring finish in the bathroom makes it very slippery whether it's dry or wet. We had to remind each other to step very carefully when going into the bathroom.

This lodge is in a great location. It's right at the turn off towards Exit Glacier and only 10 min away from Seward. The room was very clean and the staff was really friendly. There's a little creek that runs right next to the lodge so our kids loved looking at the clear water flowing through the rocks.

The one bed was backed next to a wall which made it difficult for someone to exit the bed without having the other person move.

Convenient to the National Park and downtown Seward. It was very clean. A moose and her baby grazed outside the back of the cabin.

The platform bed, the heater for a room with such a tremendously high ceiling was inadequate, there was no closet nor storage space of any type.

Quaint. Surprised by “a cabin” but we did insist on a pvt. bathroom. The “Salmon Bake” restaurant was wonderful but looked from the outside like it was about to fall apart.

Arrived at 2.09 and was told checkin was at 3 and room was not ready and told “I would have to come back” no offer to expedite toon clean up, call housekeeping , etc. asked if room was air conditioned and told yes. It wasn’t. Got in room and called front desk to see if there was Wi-Fi and if so what was the password. Had to leave a message but no one ever called me back. Ok room and good location but this particular employee had zero customer service skills.

Above & beyond service! We were very comfortable here. The hotel managers were super nice and made it clear to ask for anything we needed. They even informed us that our day cruise company had to cancel the longer cruises the day we were leaving. Called the company for us to try and arrange a shorter cruise. The heads up gave us time to adjust our schedule accordingly.
