How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Lousy breakfast, basically a couple of cereals and prepackaged muffins. Quite disappointing. This is a fairly old facility that lacks some modern updates.
The room was quite comfortable and came with a kitchenette and we picked up a free disk/utensil pack from the front desk. It became a fairly decent home for our week in Anchorage. There were enough outlets in the room for charging devices, and the heating/cooling worked reasonably well. We also were able to do 2 loads of laundry at the end of the week.

Its better take the carpet out and make it all wood floors.
Breakfast is good thats all its need in the morning, the location is perfect.

The rooms were very warm and I didn't have shampoo or conditioner although I stayed nearly one week. Others staying there also compained about the warm rooms. Abou? was a delight but it seemed to require a great deal of effort for others to help me with basic amenities.
It was convenient and stay was adequate, which is expected for this price.

The property had transients in the parking lots at night. The room was not cleaned well, under the beds and the front of the toilet were both very dirty.
The staff was very nice. I appreciated having cookware provided and something larger than a mini-fridge.

The carpet going out in lobby and halls was filthy and old/ needed replaced. I was about to cancel my reservation until I saw the room. There was lint and trash on floor in hall going to my room. The room was clean with new carpet.
Location was close to train station. Check in was easy and quick.

absolutely lack of parking was the worst part of the entire stay with a blind husband we could not use the handicapped parking as it was always taken by persons without a handicapped license plate or card. Parking was not enforced by hotel staff.

Understandable each worker have their own temperament—so depending on situations—some attitudes changed. But overall the positive staff shined through.
The breakfast consisted of coffee and oatmeal. Sadly no bananas or fresh fruits for value added service.

The staff claims it is company policy for my guests to give them a ID. My friend lost his ID yesterday and his temporary ID expired yesterday due to his birthday, which was obvious and they refused to let him come to a room I paid for for the evening to eat dinner. It wasn't as if he was staying. I understand that you want to keep vagrants out, and that is fine. But this is ridiculous. The room charge and incidental card retained should be insurance that if anything happens I will be charged for it as opposed to not allowing me to have company. I am super irritated by this. Employees should be allowed to use their judgment on the matter.

The outside entrance was broken so you couldn't get in without someone at the front desk. The breakfast was coffee and a granola bar.
The location was great, room seemed secure and the night time front desk guy was very nice.

WiFi and Breakfas
Free WiFi was very slow and unstable and I probably ended up paying for a hefty roaming fee due to such lousy WiFi service. Please do not call it a "breakfast"! It is just tea/coffee with cheap cupcakes. For me, the location was excellent as I had meetings downtown. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel room ate is well overpriced for the type of room and services it provides -- I guess all hotels in Anchorage are expensive!

Not enough employees to take care of the hotel. Too many homeless people around and the only 2 employees of the hotel have to take care of customers and homeless people trying to enter the facility. The hotel should hire a specific person for security so the front end personnel can focus on customer service
