How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Located behind a brewery/bar. It got noisy late at night I could hear nonsense happening. It was not a quiet stay

The front desk staff was clueless, I honestly thought if I didn’t come up with money for ANOTHER reservation I wouldn’t have a place to sleep. This happening at 1 am when I showed him my confirmation info and obviously they were going to get their money, I had to scrounge around to get enough money to stay. Just disappointing cause I was so aggravated I couldn’t even enjoy the room.

Noise level in the room was pretty noticeable, although not a problem later at night. Lack of a comfortable chair to sit in was a problem. Narrow bench was uncomfortable, so the only place to be for reading, etc was on the bed.
Design, location, bed comfort, bathroom, and common areas were all good. Breakfast setup as fine once you figured out the system.

The staff was unresponsive and aloof. The staff was particularly unhelpful especially when I asked why the pool was closed during a thunderstorm. The rep couldn’t tell me if that was a Marriott policy.
Hotel was relatively modern.

The hotel property didn’t feel inviting or cozy. The desk staff was very nice.
It was a convenient location for an overnight after returning on a late flight from a three week trip abroad. The room was clean and roomy.

The room felt bare and the lack of things on the wall (pictures/paintings) made it feel more like a dorm room than a relaxing hotel room.

Doors and walls are absolutely not even a bit resistant to sound, which was a problem as, both nights of our stay, drunken sports teams and unsupervised children yelled, shouted, banged on doors and ran up and down until the wee hours. No effort by hotel staff to discourage.

We were disturbed 2 separate nights by customers who had left their dogs in their rooms. We moved to a different floor after the first night, but on the 3rd night the gal across the hall left her dog barking for hours. Maybe more rug coverage on the floors? Seemed cold with just the one rug. Also, missed having more drawer space. They don't have closets, just a bar to hang your clothing on. Not used to that! Also, they're located on a busy road which led to more road noise.
Location was great. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff members were VERY friendly and accommodating. Loved the retro vibe of the place.

Not enough towels and toilet paper in room had to ask for more, Concrete floors hard to walk on noisy from above floors and cold, Could not control the air and temperature in room, Didn't like charge for breakfast, Dont keep coffee available past 10am, Staff ok but dont go out of their way and had to go downstairs to get towels because staff diesnt speak english,, Could use in room microwave, In room refrigerator only a chiller not a frig, Not enough space to hang clothes and unpack, In room couch awkward would be better with desk and chair, Not enough charging stations
Bar downstairs except for not being allowed to have sound, Convenient to get around locale
