The evening clerk was very friendly and accommodating of our softball team. Midway into the weekend the members of our team that had not booked to stay here, ended up reserving rooms there to finish the weekend.

They were very understanding of our room arrangement needs since we were traveling with my grandmother and her two little fur babies once we were checking in they made it a priority to have is on the first floor with our rooms right next to each other which I appreciated very much

The bed was not comfortable for me, so I tossed and turned all night. Admittedly, I like a very soft bed, so it probably would be comfortable for most people.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, and I loved that the room had a functional kitchenette with refrigerator. Adjustable air conditioning kept the room very comfortable, even in the July heat. The sitting area was comfortable, and all of the property was clean and well kept.

My family truly enjoyed themselves. The hotel was clean, the staff was very pleasant especially the staff that made the breakfast Mon-Friday. She kept the breakfast fully stocked and very clean in the lobby. The rooms was spacious and the hotel wasn't loud at all. The jacuzzi was nice and hot and the bonus was "happy hour" If we visit Arizona again. We will book this hotel again

Air conditioning unit is very noisy. The unit is quiet on fan but very load when the cooling system kicks in. Could use a little more space in kitchen.

Breakfast was good, Hotel has a happy hour with 2 free beverages, always coffee available, easy parking, great location, comfortable bed, roomy!

Staff was not nice especially the front desk staff. Not to mention that I had to get a replacement credit card due to my information being taken over the phone by an employee and never entered into the system. The staff was awful and the manager couldn’t be bother to make a phone to me after I left a message for her.

No more beer or wine for happy hour. This was really such a nice touch to have hotel guests gather in the lobby and get to know one another. Sadly, this perk has been removed from this location. The other change was that the lobby was extremely warm. We were not the only ones who felt this way. We asked if the temp could be changed, but was informed they could not change it without permission. It seemed like a chore to even get this accomplished and therefore it never did change so ultimately it was very uncomfortable to sit in the lobby! Lastly, the last day we were there, a large group had gathered in the lobby due to an antique road show. All of those participants were waiting in the lobby/dining area making it impossible to enjoy the tables/chairs set there for hotel guests. Just too crowded overall.

Love the staff. Especially Loretta. She always goes out of her way to make the guests comfortable and welcome.

My sisters and I meet here multiple times a year and have always loved staying at Gateway; However, the last time we were here, the lobby was kept at an uncomfortably warm/hot temperature. Even though the staff is phenomenal - we love them all (Loretta, Ernesto,...), they said the temperature couldn't be changed. Management also ditched happy hour with wine/beer (making the Gateway a "dry" happy hour) - this was easier to accept (since we could just bring in our own drinks) until we found they still offer that at their sister hotel a few blocks away... Honestly, we'll probably still book here (unless the lobby temperature does not get resolved) because of the staff and how clean the place is, but we're starting to feel like the ugly step sister over here compared to their larger, more accommodating hotel a few blocks away! *** update - also, this seems to be a new thing... on the day we were checking out, they had a convention of sort (based in their conference room) that FILLED the lobby all day with people. Not optimal for guests with children. I enjoy sitting in the lobby however not only was it full all day but filled with the general public - an element I didn't appreciate.
