Just the loud door that may have been to the stairs.

Basic but clean and comfortable; location was very good for us. Having coffee available was nice. Staff was good. A door near our room closed with a loud bang on occasion. Overall it served our needs quite well. Thanks.

no privacy (the door does not fully close, there's a space between the door and the wall, which explains the noise) and twice some handy man just entered our room without knocking!!!! very noisy (street noise but mostly the other guests, you can hear absolutely everything - talking in the halls, slamming the doors) and it's quite cold in winter, the radiator is useless (it blows hot wind for a few minutes, but then it stops) and no possibility to open the window to get some fresh air (but that's probably normal in the US)

It's good value for money. It's in a great spot for visiting some attractions like Statue of Liberty, Wall street, trinity church and the world trade centres. It all depends why you are travelling to New York and what's your budget. If you are a couple wanting the luxury experience choose another Hotel. If you are someone looking to travel to New York on a strict budget then this is a fine hotel for you. The beds were comfortable. We felt safe not in a terrible area, there is lots of choice of food and restaurants nearby, subway stations are right outside, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights on time square in a big hotel and made the move here for the 4th night A. for the location and B. to level out our costs and it was perfect.

Excellent location, clean rooms, super kind staff, comfortable bed. I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews here, but after my stay I can confirm that this is in fact a good, low-price hotel. Really worth considering if you are on a budget.

The building is a bit dated and the water pressure and hot water can be spotty. The walls are quite thin and the doors don't have a hinge to slow them down so they are usually slammed shut very loudly.

The location of the hotel is very good and the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

Not sure if there was an elevator to go up to the reception or it wasn't working so it was a bit hard to get to the reception area.

Walls are thin, therefore when one of the nights some guests were very noisy (I assume coming back from the bar as it was around 2am) and you could’ve heard them as they were in your room.

The room was small and the bathroom not very modern. The faucets were a bit weird and the water pressure was annoyingly weak. I think it was also super unsafe how the luggage is kept at the front of the hotel. Anyone can literally grab any bag and leave without the staff noticing. It was kind of expensive for the quality but I guess you pay for the location.
