Nothing stands out as something we didn’t like.

The outdoor spaces of the property are exceptional. Our room was very comfortable. David and Layla are wonderful hosts that try to make your stay feel like you are at home. The location of the property is wonderful; near downtown, near two beautiful parks and conveniently close to CMU. Also, both mornings we woke up and had a great breakfast.

We felt that it was a pricey especially considering that we didn't stay on a Friday or Saturday. Breakfast wasn't included in the price either, it was $15 extra per person and it wasn't enough to really fuel us for our busy day ahead, it was more of an appetizer so we ended up having to stop somewhere else just a few hours later to pay for a meal again. I paid more for the room than our booking paperwork indicated I would, it was kind of strange that it charged half during booking online then we had to pay the other half, plus a bunch of fees at checkout, I'd rather know the actual total upfront at booking online as it shows you when you book a hotel.

Wonderful location. Absolutely beautiful and mysterious building to explore, lots of cool details. Beautiful decks and patio areas to enjoy the outdoors. Our room was at the top and it was nice and quiet, great temperature control, and very clean, cleaner than going to a hotel for sure.

The bed was on the soft side of things.

David & Layla are both delightful people and have perfect personalities for the B&B business. The house is incredibly beautiful and the grounds picturesque. They offer a nice selection of beverages in their bar. Breakfast was delicious. The house is only a block from Island Park and two blocks from downtown Mt. Pleasant.

It would be helpful to reiterate the "late" arrival charge in the confirmation letters just before the reservation date. I reviewed the last two notices and there was no mention of the fee, only in the original communication did it mention the fee, from weeks ago (long before we knew our arrival time).

The Ginkgo Tree has fantastic owners who make certain you have an enjoyable stay. The B&B itself is stunningly gorgeous. The room was so comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious. I can't wait to return!

Since we drove our big work truck, parking was a little tight. But, pretty standard for in city parking.

The hosts were delightful. The food was delicious. It was a cozy romantic atmosphere, perfect for a weekend get away.

What a wonderful, hidden gem this turned out to be. This charming Victorian bed-and-breakfast, still decked out for Christmas was immaculate.
