Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

A unique experience. It is warm in the summer during the day, but we are "camping" so that wasn't unexpected. The family tent set up was ideal with teenagers. Helpful staff. Clean accomodations.

United StatesInternet was poor - for getting info on traveling , maps. Noisy, although we were asked to sign a waiver stating there could be noise traffic from road and people walking around. Pricey for stay.

United StatesThe only negative is your here the train going through several times during the night but they do supply earplugs.
Cleanliness of bathrooms, tent, and surroundings. Bed was super comfortable and tent was very cozy with wood burning stove. Staff helpful & friendly. Lobby area had free s'mores materials, coffee, and tea. Nice in the morning.

United StatesMore food options, maybe but what you offered was top notch. Our stay was too short! Needed a few more days.
I loved the stew and biscuit for dinner! Yum! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Just like family! Excellent coffee and the s’more treat was delightful! You thought of everything, even was able to plug in CPAP.

The experience was just great all around. The tent was beautifully appointed, and the people were really helpful. The biggest surprise was the delicious food coming out of the little cafe- really delicious!

United StatesEverything was amazing!
The staff was exceptional and made our stay so memorable and wonderful! We eloped in Glacier National Park, and coming "home" to Under Canvas was absolutely wonderful. They set up a beautiful fire and delicious outdoor dinner for us. They even hung a "Just Married" banner on our porch. Our tent was so cozy and comfortable. Also, the location is extremely convenient to the West Entrance.

United StatesSecond night, one of the staff was gruff telling us we could not take cafe food to our tent. We had done it the night before, the second night many other people were eating on their porches, when we were told not to. We were and are very bear aware. We contained all food in our car.
Highway noise. But loved all the nature sounds.

United StatesThe Trains! At night the long cargo train passed at least 4 times with a very loud horn honking several times. I know it was to scare away any wildlife on the train tracks, which is important. But it certainly wakes you up and difficult to go back to sleep because another one will be coming in a few hours or less. Those earplugs at the bedside didn’t help. Everything else was great!
Staff, amenities, bathrooms were all great!

United StatesIt’s relatively close to the road and there’s a train track nearby with a train that will honk its horn even throughout the night.
Very friendly and helpful staff, loved all the extra facilities they had (fire pits, games, complimentary s’mores, coffee and tea). There’s a small cafe on site where you can purchase (simple) breakfast and dinner.

United StatesIt got really cold during the night. Too cold! Fireplace didn't have everything needed to start a fire, and the matches and wood were damp, so we had to impervise. Lamps and fans weren't charged. Shared bathrooms, mostly bc you have to leave your tent to go to the bathroom, etc. The bathrooms did get gross quickly... but I'm also a clean freak, and most people are NOT! So there's that...
The tent experience. Personal driveway parking. Free hot coco and smores.

United KingdomThe shared toilet block was ok , difficult because the staff cleaned them regularly but other guests left a mess. Also expecting a tranquil setting but next to a busy road and a train that sounds it’s horn all through the night which was frustrating .
The staff were great , all very friendly and helpful ! The tent was nice and clean and the beds very comfortable . Food was good and items to buy to take for a picnic for the day were a great touch !

United StatesAlthough the shared bathrooms are always clean, I still prefer to have my own bathroom in my own tent, ( I know I could have book the tent with the bathroom but I did not, it was a little pricey 😅). Trying to use the bathroom when you wake up from the middle of the night and leaving your tent to go to the bath house was nerve wrecking especially when the only light you have is your phone light 😆 Would not want to do that again! 😆 The place was a little too loud for me to go to sleep. Though they have no control over that, during our stay, you could hear different noises such as train sounds and heard a very loud "emergency" noise sound in the middle of the night which kind of freak us out! Until now I had no idea what that sound was! 😱 Food is not allow inside the tent because they are not trying to give any reasons to animals to come to your tent. cafe menu is good and food is delicious but it is very pricey.
The place is exactly what the pictures look on their website! Absolutely stunning! I love the "experience" of camping thru glamping with the Canvas. This place brought back my high school memories when I joined our school retreat! And my husband really loved it! He said, he would like to book again with under the canvas. 😊 Stuffs are very friendly and knowledgable about their services. free coffee and smores! The glacier west entrance is only 7 min drive. Very convenient.

United KingdomThere was some noise overnight, though it wasn’t too disruptive. Ear plugs were provided but we couldn’t really use them with smallish children in a separate tent. We enjoyed our stay and are glad we did it. But when it comes down to it, it’s a lot of money to sleep under canvas and have to walk outside to use the toilet in the night! 😊
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, helping out with bookings for the national park when we couldn’t get signal on our own phone. The site is lovely and the tents are really well done and beautiful. The he children loved staying in their own little pup tent. The evening activity with live music and s’mores round the fire pit was really special and again, the kids loved it.
