Walking into the room for the first time there was a musty smell. Restroom had no circulating air. The air conditioning was poor. Floors were really squeaky and was never told I’d have to pay an additional $124 for 2 days of parking until I arrived into the parking structure.

It isn't the hotel's fault, but the commotion on the street due to multiple protests and strikes did cause some distress as I couldn't get rest very well. I did ask to change rooms and wasted a great deal of time waiting for a room change that I ended up canceling because I needed back in my room to get ready before leaving again. Union square is quite active with protest activity so I would recommend requesting a room that is not facing the street.

I liked the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. The security felt satisfactory as well, I appreciated not having to swipe my room key 5x to get to my room.

This was without question of the WORST hotel experiences I’ve had. Across the street were folks striking,out of the hotels control, but what really hurt and disappointed me was watching the front desk attendant change me room to the room that was facing the strike on the 3rd floor! When I asked to change I was met with so much dismissive attitude saying they were fully booked even though I watched them change 4 other white guests to the opposite side of the hotel! One person they didn’t even know I came with who was also white and they immediately changed his room. Every single day I asked the cleaning staff if others were in the rooms by me or on my floor and they said people changed to the other side of the building. Being met with such incredulous discrimination was so infuriating!

Room didn’t look like pictures. Some may have been renovated but the part of the hotel I was in was old and smelly. The room window looked directly into other rooms, I could see two naked men in one room and another that had their light on all night. The elevator was directly behind my wall and sounded like a train going into a station every time it moved. The tv kept turning itself off. There was no sun by the pool to sunbathe.

The staff were pleasant. There was a business centre for printing.

The room is clean,good size for 2 peoples.The bed is queen bed. The location is close to everything you need bus, cable car,taxi shopping mall and restaurants. 100% recommended.If i want to come back to SF i want to stay here again. Thank you to all the Staff.

We got “upgraded” but they gave us a room on the side of the street where people were protesting (from 7AM to 10PM). Even earplugs didn’t work. When we complained about this the next day the staff did not show any sympathy (not even a sorry) but after multiple complaints they did gave us a different room.

Two hotels in one. We stayed in the old part which I liked. Friends stayed in the new part with a poolside room that opened to the pool. Staff is great. There were strikers banging pots and pans and we were tired, so they switched us to a room farther away. Very quiet.

The walls were a bit thin so I’m glad I packed ear plugs. The mattresses were a bit hard.

Excellent location and at a reasonable price. The heated pool was such a nice feature. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the manager was fantastic when I had an issue.
