Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe biggest issue is a credit card is required at check it to take a security deposit of $300 for the room which equated to £237. I paid that on 21/01/2024 at the start of a 6 night stay. To date this has not been returned to my card. I rang IHG, owners of Crowne Plaza customer service on 01/02/2024 and made a complaint and requested the funds be returned and was told it was probably due to my credit card company not having returned it. I received a reference no. and assurance I'd get a call back. To date 15/02/2024 I've not had a call back. I'm now seeking a charge back via my credit card company.. The reception staff and the security man in particular at the hotel reception were generally rude. We had a repeated problem with the electric door lock and on three nights out of six we could not get back into the room after long days out. Each time it required the door lock reprogramming rather than the door key cards because it turned out it was the actual electronic door lock that was faulty. Each time we were asked to produce documentation from within the room to identify who we were. We never left our ID's in the room and took it out with us each day in case we needed it when out. The hotel staff were not happy we could not produce ID documents from within the room each time they let us into the room. Their demeanour was rude and left a lot to be desired particularly the security man on the first night. At no point did any of the staff apologise for the inconvenience. In fact we were made to feel we were inconvenience the staff who had to come up to the room to reprogram the door to enable us to get in and were treated like we were some sort of criminals tyring to gain access to someone else's room. The double beds are only small. The room had two. They are not the usual large double beds you get in the USA.

United StatesWe were able to walk in from the street, hop on the elevator to the lobby and then access our floor without using a pass card or key. Broken light switch in bathroom, couldn’t turn the light off. Bath faucet was loose and wobbly. On arrival - crumbs on desk chair. Mattress had noticeable dip and wasn’t comfortable.

United StatesThe escalators weren't working, creating a bottleneck at the one elevator guests can take from the street to reception. There wasn't an automatic door open button at the entrance to help out guests with disabilities. Once I passed the entry point, transport was optimized.
The hotel staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The decor is beautiful and inviting. The front door is a flat front with no stairs. My room was perfect. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was stocked nicely and the shower water pressure was great. Everything from the front door to the garbage bin in my bathroom was clean.
