Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandAs many reviews state, very close to the highway so truck noise is quite loud throughout the night, bring ear plugs if a light sleeper. No real good options other than some grab and go items. Really need to go into Moab for dinner if you want something nice. Can’t keep food in your tent due naughty raccoon so they loan you a chiller bag to keep in your car. This worked fine.
Cool idea and the tents were beautifully appointed and comfortable. Good facilities with fire pits and grills available. Nice common area with microwave

United StatesNo real food options for dinner or lunch…you need to drive 20 min to Moab for food each time which is a drag with the family, (at other under canvas locations they have a full restaurant in the lobby).
Loved the lobby and friendliness of staff. My kids adored all the cute activities/smores/watercolor painting/scavenger hunt! Neat experience but I left feeling a little silly paying this much for a tent (no bathroom, just basic tent -in Mount Rushmore they have bathrooms/showers in your tent). Great location, just if you’re used to camping like us, you’ll be wondering why you paid for this when it’s free and even more beautiful/remote down the street . But to each their own!

United StatesThe highway noise did have a little impact on sleeping. I like that they have earplugs handy (and I did not use them, so that may be on me). I did not notice it except when all was quiet and trying to sleep. That being said, the experience was worth it and use the earplugs!
Staff was AMAZING! Best customer service I have experienced maybe ever. Always a smile and a helping hand! Facilities were clean, scenery was unbelievable. Bathroom in our tent was worth every penny. Loved the focus on sustainability. Perfect in every way, except the highway noise (see below).

United StatesThe property is lovely with beautiful views of the surrounding areas. We had a tent with the private bathroom. The tent appointments were lovely. The bed was comfortable. The common area had fire pits for s’more roasting in the evening as a young lady was singing. This experience exceeded our expectations.

United KingdomFor our tent, the sound from the highway carried, but I think that will be the case anywhere around Moab, and they do provide earplugs. Still slept well. Just adding for any very sensitive sleepers.
The safari tents feel luxurious - beds are really big and you have a private deck. The staff are super attentive and everything was very clean. You get given an ice cooler for any food / drinks you have, there are free ice lollies and smores, and a light program of other activities you can do (something each evening eg arts and crafts, star bathing, music etc). Great access to canyon lands. FYI you will need to drive to Moab for restaurants.

BelgiumFantastic location (despite being near the road). You want for nothing here. Great reception then taken to our tent and helped us put all our stuff in the buggy right up to our tent. Mist systems to help with the hear, fans inside the tents, batteries to charge your phone, etc. Little porch is very cute to be able to enjoy the night sky. Bathrooms are great, warm water and great shampoo (my hair was soft for days). Great activities suggested, lovely smores around the fire which got cut short due to high winds but continued to chat inside around a little fire. We loved it!

SingaporeSo grateful for the impeccable service by Becca. She was patient and professional to show us around and answer any questions we had. The tent was hot in the summer, which made it unbearable to remain in the tent in the day, but there were many ways to stay hydrated and entertained in the lobby. Stargazing was great without light pollution. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Under Canvas Moab

United KingdomWe had paid extra to have a private bathroom in the tent, which would have been nice except when we arrived the water on the tap was boiling hot, so we asked staff to turn it down, only to have a freezing cold shower, asked staff to put warmer water but then again it was really really hot. Also once the hot water is activated it’s everywhere so you need to pick between brushing your teeth with hot water or shower with cold water. That was quite disappointing after a long day and extra cash.
The location was great and the tent very comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly.

United StatesThe chargers left in the room did not charge our phones even when provided with a special link. The shower was freezing in the morning and sometimes we had to hold it the entire time we were showering. There should be an overhead in in the unit as it gets very hot during the day.

United StatesI really did love everything except the traffic noise and that's why I woudn't reccomend it, which makes me sad, as I would love to recommend it. It's also very pricey for such rustic accommodations. I mean, that's what I wanted, but it seems to me that rustic accommodations ought to cost a whole lot less than a 4 star hotel, but that's just my opinion. The staff was wonderful. I loved the pull chain shower in the room. The bed was amazingly comfortable. And wood burning driver was a life saver our first night there.

United StatesUnfortunately, it was extremely windy and we didn't get to enjoy as much of the outdoor activities as we would have liked. Totally uncontrollable though and the staff really made up for the weather by bringing the activities into the lobby, such as making s'mores and there was live music.
The staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful! The views were beautiful and a close drive to all of the parks, recreation and restaurants.

United KingdomNo kindling or fire starters in our room, so had to go ask for some. No big deal, though.
Very friendly staff who seem genuinely eager to help. Great location for Arches and Canyonlands. Tents are comfortable and heat up well when the fire gets going. We got an upgrade to a tent with our own bathroom that we weren’t expecting. Really appreciated it.
