More food options would have been great. Tidal was not open Monday and Tuesday. There was a food tent only one of the days we were there which meant had we not left or ordered out Barefoot would’ve haven been the only food option.

Barefoot food was mediocre, but Tidal’s food was excellent.

TV with streaming services would have improved our stay. Cable TV with endless commercials was a bummer. Hot tub could have been warmer. Lots of light in the morning that didn't have any curtains to block.

Adult pool was a nice touch, quiet from children screaming. Room was modern and pretty, room service was fast.

Pools were often not the cleanest, no towels available, short on staff. We selected this hotel for its kids club and activities to find they never reopened the kids club after covid and the kids activities were for 30 mins every two days. Water activities were only available for kids over 7. This was really disappointing as we selected this resort specifically for the kids activities that they advertise.

Reception were super helpful and pleasant to deal with when we raised the issue with them.

The rooms could have been cleaner. The bedding could have been cleaner & if there were no bugs in the room would’ve been better.

The property location is just amazing & beautiful. The convenience of renting the water sports attractions was amazing! Such a fun place for the family!!

Paying as a guest for parking 42$ per night is just a rip off. Too expensive for what you get, more Centerparc experience than "paradise resort" that you pay for.

There are very limited dining options and they are very overpriced and service is extremely slow. It would really be nice if they offered a continental breakfast to customers. Also, we had an issue with our keys working only intermittently, and I had requested a call back from a manager but that never happened. We had a few other minor issues. It seems like they could use an overhaul of their management.

Great location, beautiful spot. We loved having a pool right near our room, and having an option of using the other four pools as well. Everything seemed very clean.

My only issue was the parking. Each room is given a spot however there are no traditional parking guidelines. So a guest from another room (as in my case) parked across my spot and theirs on several nights. The hotel did allow me to park somewhere else and were very accommodating, but I'd get those parking guidelines painted to avoid issues like this in the future with other guests.

Great location to be able to dip into busy downtown San Diego but then come back and relax away from the noise. Kids loved the pools and beach just outside the room. The food at the hotel eateries was very good as well. Overall great for families.

When I booked I should have partial ocean view but they gave me a room facing a small lagoon view. No slippers or bathrope in the room. The ironing board and the iron weren’t working had to ask for new ones. The service at the Tidal restaurant was very slow but the food was good.

I love the property. It’s a beautiful resort, good size room. I would stay there again.

Parking and resort fees added about $100 per night. The Barefoot grill on site was not impressive. Nice view but the food and service were underwhelming. We found much better dining off site.

Scheduling things was challenging with poor cell/internet reception. Even the family night movie didn't work. Several bugs and spiders in both rooms.

The rooms themselves are a bit rundown. I imagine they have a lot of room turnover, so it could probably use a more regular refreshing - replace the mattresses; new sheets; paint, etc.

This is great for family vacations. It has multiple pools so it never felt crowded. The breakfast at Barefoot on the Beach was terrific. Although we did not take advantage of it, I saw other families enjoying the bonfire pits on the sand at the bay. We definitely intend to do that on our next visit. The staff was very friendly - front desk; cleaning; maintenance; restaurant - everyone said hello and was accommodating.

I didn’t appreciate that the additional fees that weren’t disclosed in the listed Parking per day cost $42 you also get charged 6% surcharge on food purchases “something about keeping minimum wage up for there employees” they also charge you a resort amenities fees $39 per day and a lot of other fees taxes it was just dumbfounding.

The property was located right next to the beach and had bonfire pits available for hotel guest to use, also the hotel itself was beautiful. The main pool had a restaurant and pool was kept at great temperature. Aside from restaurant at main pool there is two additional restaurant in the resort food is deben but the views are amazing. They give you a small bag of duck food too feed the animals my son found turtles ducks and fishes. They have bikes and boat rentals available at a cost.
