How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

My remote didnt work and because the staff were overly busy, it took 2 hours to get a new one

I booked for 2 nights and only stayed one. I was more than confident this was a location for a Law and Order episode. Even in mid-day, the hallway was dimly lit, but my room was a whole other ball game. The counter where the sink was, was concaved in the middle, it was off the wall, and when I set my laptop on the countertop it moved as if it were going to fall. The v was plugged in but never turned on. Out of all the lamps, only one worked and it was the dimmest color of yellow I had ever seen. I had forgotten my soap and thought just a body wash would suffice but there were no complimentary soaps. The walls had black streaks all over them, and the room was so dirty that I refused to walk around with no socks. There were random hairs in the bathtub, mold on the ceiling, and was looked like rust in every crevice. Again, I drove 8 hours there for a 2-night stay and left the very next day. They do not give refunds for early checkout but I didn't care. The vending machines contained snacks that looked like they hadn't been replaced in months or years. Even being inside of the machine, they were still dusty.
The staff was extremely nice. So professional and kind.

We use a sleep machine for sleep sounds and it helped with any noise at night, aka doors shutting.
It was clean and comfy. Great price. Great location. We didn't use the pool but we went very late in the year. Peaceful. It's bigger than some cheaper places. And the beds were comfy.

Breakfast was same every day, but have found this as standard since pandemic.
Room was good size. Bed slept great. Very quite. All amenities present and worked. Love this hotel. This was my third stay at Hotel Pigon Forge and hope to return soon!

Bathroom toilet was backed up when we arrived. Never got fixed, only got worse. Was told no manager to speak with. Given an email and never got a reply.

bed was absolutely terrible. When I checked in they required an $80 deposit that was not mentioned in their write up, then three notices around the check in desk that they would not give refunds for early departures. I should have ran away but foolishly didn’t. we paid for two nights and left after one. lost one night payment-it was worth it.

lady at front desk wasn’t the nicest. she was mean but the over all wasn’t super friendly

The staff was not friendly at check in at all. The room was very small and could have been cleaner. We found batteries in the chair. The mattress was old and worn out, they need replaced.

The jacuzzi tub was loud and didn't even really bubble. The leisure deck was rotting and warped thought the floor. Nails were sticking up from the deck boards and ripped my pants leg. Thin walls so you could hear the neighbors tv and laughter. The supposed breakfast cereal was out of date on the mini boxes and tasted stale.
I liked that it was on the strip of pigeon forge. The water for the showers were hot and didn't run out like most.

The room was not very clean. We could tell that she’s had not been changed from the previous tenant. It was so dusty had to go buy some furniture polish and desk because I have asthma. Black hair all in the bathtub. Are used to work at a hotel and if we were to leave a room in that condition we would’ve been fired. I just think they need to take more pride in cleaning the rooms.
