How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The purpose of our trip was to visit UC San Diego. The university is walking distance from the hotel. Room was very spacious, extremely clean (very nice bathroom and toiletries) and bed/matress/pillows were wonderful after two long days with lots of walking. We would certainly stay here again!

Great hotel near the UCSD campus which was perfect for a college visit. Well landscaped. Rooms were large and clean. Full breakfast option. Could use a full length mirror as only mirror was the vanity. Parking was an additional $30/night which seemed an unnecessary add on.

There was a dog barking all morning in the room across from us.
The location was great. Everything was a short 10 min drive. The hot tub and warmed up pool was nice. I definitely recommend this location

For a resort-style hotel, the rooms are too close to the parking lot. There is lots of noise until late from people coming and going to the hotel. Since my room faced the parking lot, I had to keep the shutters closed.
Hotel has nice grounds, the room was clean and comfortable. I also liked how close it was to the shopping center next door. Lots of food options and a whole foods.

There is a room building that faces a parking lot that could have plants between the windows and the parking lot.

The telephone was dusty like it has not been dusted but the beds were clean and the bathroom was modern and clean.
It was comfortable and on a convenient location next exit to Scrip Hospital where a family member was having a major surgery.

We had a few ants in our bathroom. And, I think it would be nice to have a shuttle to transport to the UCSD campus or at least have a map (since phones can die). A shuttle would be nice for the shopping center since we encountered two homeless guys while walking from the shopping center back to the hotel at night.
The front staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful location.

this property is dog friendly and although I am a dog mom myself, the dog in the room next to us, barked and whined often, keeping us from getting a peaceful night of sleep.

I was disappointed in the parking fee. We were never informed of the fee before we booked. The security was good.
The breakfast was very good and reasonably price. There is really no other place close by so it was needed.

Was in a dog friendly wing but had a dog houling when owner was not around Kudos to front desk as somehow got it to stop at 2 AM Maybe a bark or two might be fine but non moaning a a poor lonely pup that went on- but fault of owners not property management

The cost of the food at the hotel restaurant and the fact that the continental breakfast had NO BACON! How are you gonna have continental breakfast and have no bacon whatsoever?!
The property is probably one of the most gorgeous hotels I’ve stayed at thus far!

The only complaint is They have the old-fashioned wall aircondtioners/heaters. Just doesn't work like Central air and heat. One half of the room is cold and the other half too warm. Otherwise, the room was very nice.
Grounds and pool are beautiful. Rooms are clean and have very comfortable beds. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious. The staff was very kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
