The 2-level floor plan is quirky and could be a problem if you have some mobility issues. The parking is pricey, but not compared to using the town garage and fair enough since it is covered. The kitchen consumables (sponges, dishwasher pods, paper towels, laundry pods, etc) were skimpy - they want you to run the dishwasher and give you a single pod to do so!

The condo unit is reasonable size but with an unusual layout. You enter the unit at the upper floor with a small entry hall that doubles a laundry area and leads to one of the two bedrooms (twin beds). You have to use the stairs to get down to the main living area and master bedroom (king bed). The kitchen was reasonably well appointed (dated, but not uncomfortably so) and our unit had a reasonable supply of cookware, dishes and glassware. The shuttle service is EXCELLENT, which is important as there is not much in walking distance and the free town bus is not very frequent to the lodge. They were running 2 shuttles even mid-week so there was rarely a wait, and you could see where the shuttle was with an app. If none were en-route, you could call the front desk and they would be there in a few minutes. We used the hot tub/pool facilities which were clean, suitably sized so we weren't packed in, and had good hours. The parking is covered which is a big plus on a snowy day. The ski locker was just big enough for 4 sets of skis and poles, but worked fine and is convenient to the shuttle loading area.

The lobby/entrance is underwhelming to say the least, very outdated and furnished with old black leather sofas. The units are all different so you don’t really know what you’re going to get. The condo we stayed in was beautifully renovated however the first one they put us in was not (or didn’t feel like it to me due to ugly outdated furnishings and musty smelling carpet throughout), even though we booked a premium unit. However when I complained they switched us to a different unit and the new unit was great! The indoor pool hot tub area needs some maintenance. The indoor hot tub has some fluorescent lights above it that were flickering, and half the hot tub was dark underwater, I think it needed lightbulbs changed as well. The locker room/spa/pool area/lobby could all use a cosmetic face lift. They are clean but just look a bit outdated. Still, was nice to enjoy the hot tub after a day of skiing.

The shuttle service to ski slopes was convenient. We got a renovated unit that was nice.

The beds weren't comfortable to sleep in. I get that the condo has owners but it was really weird having there pictures all over the place. It felt like we were intruding on the space.

Location to Vail Village was perfect. We ended up with an outside facing room so that was great for the view. The free van was great getting us back and forth from the villages was convenient.

The problem was mostly the location. First of all, the building which is 4 stories high was practically empty and the rental agency put us in the basement. The same level as the garage, facing the highway that was so close we heard cars and trucks whizzing by all night. Come on we were in VAIL! The scenery is everything we came there for, since it was not ski season. Having received lots of unsolicited info from Booking on “Things to do while you are there.” It was quite a surprise to learn from a staff member when we asked for a suggestion on restaurants in town that “Vail is closed.” He told us none of the restaurants or shops in-town were open and that we couldn’t even drive around or through to see the town. We ended up having a very over-priced dinner of chicken wings and non-Greek salad delivered by the only restaurant we could find nearby on the highway. As it turned out our stay was a disappointing little more than a roadside motel stop experience.

The condo itself was a great size for two couples. Nice layout - each bedroom had its own bath. Good seating for relaxing, watching tv and eating. The kitchen was, however, poorly equipped.

Owners didn't leave any cooking oil, butter and only 1 laundry detergent. So we had to buy all of that, but the place was very clean, nice and convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Shuttle was super easy to get to the lift and back home. Friendly staff, hot tub outside was nice after a day of skiing!
