The hotel across the street is on strike, it was difficult to work remote from the hotel because of all the noise.

Room was close to elevators and I could hear people speaking loudly outside the room. I had a terrible window view. Room was very small.

Excellent front desk service. Concierge was very professional. Luggage was picked up and delivered quickly to my room. Car drop off and pick up was quick. Very comfy bed. Good coffee maker. Excellent water pressure and very nice shower.

24 Hour Room Service, but I managed to use Uber Eats. Only thing, you have to go down and pick up.

I got one of the larger rooms (accessible) which was beautiful. I’ve booked 2 rooms on February 14th, but didn’t find that room. I did get 2 Grand Rooms. I didn’t make it to the new Bar on top floor, but plan on it for February. Thanks so much!!

I love the proximity to shopping, eating and also the concert venue and airport. Staff was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Only upset I didn’t get to eat at the restaurant haha because of time

The room wasn't massive, but we only slept in it, so not a big deal.

Excellent location right beside a cable car stop and just around the corner from Union Square. The bed was super comfy and the shower was excellent. We loved the history of the hotel too - ask about the "secret room" and the bullet holes!

The room was a tad small. The restaurant and bar was somewhat overpriced.

This is an old-style, centrally located hotel with good service. I recall that the bar was a bit overpriced, but otherwise the facilities were good and had old-fashioned charm. There is a rooftop bar that is worth visiting. You can walk or take a quick cab ride to much of downtown SF. There are some good eateries across the street and within a short walk. The parking is convenient. They had a purified water fountain, so all you need to do for purified water is walk down the hall.

I had a lovely room on the 5th floor, facing internally rather than out to the street. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and very quiet. Other reviews have indicated rooms were small or noisy but this was certainly not my experience. Beautiful lobby and lovely historic features around the building.

This is a beautiful historic hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. There is a coffee maker (Illy coffee) in the room and also water is complimentary. The location is perfect.

Sadly, Union Square is not the elegant happening place it used to be. The homeless situation and security issues have gotten out of hand in San Fransico, hurting business. I question the room size specified at 215 sq. ft. Space is really tight. According to my estimates it’s closer to 190 sq. ft. (including tiny bathroom and closet). Avoid rooms ending in 04, which seem to have the worst proportions. You can hardly walk across the foot of the bed, as it’s only 2 ft. from the wall to the bed.

The bar up top should be more for adults that want to spend time at a place that doesn’t feel like “da club”. Its too nice of a view and hotel to not make that a bit more upscale and not a hang out for douche bag 20-30 year olds
