The bathroom had a very small toilet and the room needed some updating. It was very basic.

The bed was comfortable and the view nice. The room was clean.

Sorry did not have any breakfast..we were not told..and we did not have any Hand Soaps only squiz shampoo and conditioner But no hand Soaps...had to go to HEB... Grocery Store...to buy Soaps 🧼 that's all. Thank you.

Stairs to second floor limits some to first floor. Although WiFi connection worked, the Internet access was not there. Had to use cell phone for Internet link. No cups or cooking pans and dishes so I bought what I needed at nearly, Super Walmart and took them home.

Free EV charging within walking distance, six short blocks, at Hopper Haus Bar and Grill. Dog friendly for a reasonable fee. The window AC froze the room until I turned it up a bit. Traditional oven was great for making and cooking a favorite, seafood dish.

It didn’t necessarily bother us, but it was rather a surprise when we discovered a small cemetery directly across from the property! It was of no real disturbance, but it was definitely an unexpected surprise! Additionally, the deadbolt on the top of the door did not lock from the outside only the inside. But there was not much to say negatively about this property, or stay! We recommend it for an economical and valuable stay.

We appreciated the location of the property given how close it is to South Padre Island, and how convenient the location is in proximity to the stores in Port Isabel. The inside of the room had a large fridge with a freezer, which was great for stashing our late night frozen treats and fresh cut fruit! The room was very spacious, and very clean when we arrived. We were also able to reserve a room that was facing out towards a nice space of grass land and had an ocean view.

We didn’t like the cemetery literally right across the street. My sister was so spooked she had a nightmare and we left right at day break. We didn’t wait for check out time. It was also very noisy upstairs like all night. Sounded like kids running back and forth. The curtains didn’t cover the window all the way. My sister did see a couple of small roaches but that might have be from all the rain we got while we stayed there.The ocean view is not what I expected. You have to walk about a block to get to it then it was gated so no way to get into it. And your room has to be in the back for ocean view if not you get cemetery view :(

The location to South Padre Island was very good and it was easy to find the hotel. Check in and check out process was easy.It was very clean although it is an older building. Parking spot was right in front of the room or a few spaces away. They let us check in like 2 hours early and no extra charge 🙂

I saw 3 roaches, ac unit was surrounded by sponge, I struggled to turn on ac. Motel was owned by a different owner last time I stayed here, and was very clean back then. I noticed that change of ownership has made it less clean and less comfortable.

Pool was green, parking lot on north side of building was painted to look like it belongs to the hotel (it doesn't and was a towaway zone), no toilet paper in bathroom, room smelled like body odor, headboard on bed broken, we spent 5 minutes in the room, packed up and left, the website in no way represents reality.

There was a wipe in the freezer that had been there while it was frozen solid but other then that hotel is a great place to stay was well managed
