How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

What we liked most was the location and the staff. On the first day at the reception we learned all the main locations. And these tips were priceless. We went everywhere and were very happy.

Parking often we would come back in the evening and it was to find a spot close to our room if any spot at all

The 1st room we received had some water, plumbing issues, smelled odd, and the bathroom was a little below par on cleanliness. No kitcenette either. The next morning I asked to change rooms, and was readily allowed to change to the room next door - which was the room, set-up and cleanliness I expected.

I think they are trying to upgrade rooms, some are still a little outdated, parking is challenging.
Cozy little place, hosts were very friendly! Kuerig coffee makers and excellent coffee ☕️ loved the lovely hanging baskets add a quaint charm. Location is excellent close to everything.

Friends had trouble with booking. The reservation got canceled but not by them. Some scamming going on. Still working on recovering all money's.
No breakfast at Spring Creek. Very friendly office staff. View was beautiful outside.

Shower Water could be a little more warmer and refrigerator a little more colder. Over all no complaints.
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Good location for us. Family owned and friendly staff. Enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit, playing corn hole and the very loving cat.

Great location for our purpose. Easy in and out.
Nice big room for me and my son . We were here for a hunting trip and the extra room comes in handy for all of our stuff.

Noisy neighbors…. But that can happen anywhere.
Very friendly staff. Big rooms. Very clean. Great bed. Great with the outdoor firepit (free firewood incl.). Lovely location just about a mile or two both from Hill City and the 2 wineries in the area. Great idea to put a list of places to eat in the area in the room.

The room could use a bit of an update, it was a little dated. We also found a spider web in a corner that should've been cleaned. There was also a lot of mosquitos inside our cabin.
Good location, the playground and firepit area, easy to find and get to.

I think the sole issue ai experienced was the shower being a little cramped. Maybe those rounded curtain rods would help give a little more room for shampooing and such with out constantly touching the shower curtain.
Close to the town but a little out so nice peaceful vibe.

Need more lighting. The road was dark, and the entire complex was dark except where people were staying, and that light was minimal. Had a hard time finding the office in the dark (around 9:10 pm) and they were closed.
location was fine, availability was limited, we arrived at dark and it was so dark in the whole area we could not even tell where the office was. All of their lights were off. It was actually scarey. We knocked on the door and was finally greeted by a pre-teen or teen. They had apparently emailed us or texted us information, but we barely had any cell service so had no way of knowing.

We only stayed for one night and didn't run into any problems. I can't say there isn't anything I disliked.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming! I would for sure stay here again.

Overall a very good place to stay. Good value (stayed here before Memorial Day). Check-in was quick and easy. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Got a great recommendation for dinner. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Only a few minutes from downtown. Definitely would stay here again if in the area.
