The rooms badly need investment - noisy air conditioners (4th different room…all the same and they blow right down on you,) beds are old and ridiculously soft, water pressure is a challenge but not a deal breaker.

Quaint town, cozy bar with great bourbon collection, very friendly staff, rooftop view at sunset is lovely. Very safe town!

The floor was not clean. Wiping up water and the floor was very dirty. I showed the front desk. The air conditioner is very loud.

Breakfast needs refreshed more often. Hit food was cold and coffee was old.

Not having coffee available for early risers before 7am. Honestly, this was always a lovely perk for us...we like to rise and shine and get on the road. Previously, there was a coffee area in the gift shop where you could fix a cup and head out. Now you have to wait until the breakfast opens.

The hotel is beautiful, as always. Every time we stay here the room is super clean. You can't beat the location, and being pet friendly is always appreciated. The breakfast...WOW! The bacon! It really is a lovely spread.

When we booked, the history charge of $9 was not discussed. It should be included at booking, not when you check in.

We were on the second floor near the elevator, and it was very noisy. We had a room above us that all we heard were footsteps for a couple of hours.

Their heating/ cooling unit was extremely hard to figure out. They offered a old remote for the unit and a diagram and button locator for the remote. None of it was working. We ended up sleeping in 64 degree temps. The Free Continental Breakfast was a joke. Someone must have made a mistake while making the coffee. It was the thickest coffee I have ever seen, tasted like coffee ground mud. There was 3 old strips of bacon in a container but no eggs to go with it. I waited over 5 minutes, but no eggs. So I then decide to have hot cereal and poured 2 bags into a bowl only to find the hot water was barely warm. I guess the joke was on me! $190 wasted in Wytheville VA. Too bad, I had high hopes.

The continental breakfast wasn’t very good. Food was not even warm, and the coffee was not warm. Was very disappointed. The cost was too high fir what you got.

It was a comfortable, clean and attractive room. The breakfast offered was typical of most American hotel chains- which is to say pretty crummy. Step up and provide more fresh fruit, better cereal, fresh made baking. If your kitchen staff can’t I’m sure a local bakery would oblige.

My wife and I stayed there as a last minute stop as we were travelling back from Nashville and decided on a last minute layover whilst in transit, pretty much just as we needed the rest. On arrival we were delighted to see the hotel, large bed and shower etc but were woken about 6 times due to the ac unit randomly turning on and it made a substantial amount of noise by anyone’s standards, the blinds also didn’t shut all the way over so when lying in bed at night the street lights from across the road can be seen from a lying position. We also had to unplug the refrigerator as the compressor running was pretty loud also.

The property looked very nice on entering with a period exterior and the decor looked inviting. It also had a large bed and the room was clean.

The restaurant was closed. I like to stay here so I don’t have to drive to/from a restaurant after a long day on the road. At least they could make that clear so I could decide

The restaurant and bar were closed on Sunday and no mention of this was in booking info. I also inquired about a restaurant for an anniversary dinner and did not get a reply. Disappointing ! Also the heating and air controls were way too complicated. I called and the manager said she could control it from downstairs.

Very poor water pressure in sink on 4th floor. Decor seems gloomy in the room. A/C position right over the bed is not good. Host for dinner said we could take a hightop. When we did she said that one is reserved. You have to sit at the bar. No 2 seats available at the bar. We left.

Location in town and parking was right there. Reception was friendly. Breakfast was hot but the plates were rather cold.

The light in our room was not working and staff was not able to locate a bulb. The air conditioner was so NOISY we had to turn it off. The faucet in the bathroom barely had a flow however, the shower was satisfactory. The rug in the room was filthy. We felt we were given a sub-par room because the staff were unable to locate our room confirmations (we waited 45 minutes) even after providing our confirmation number. I do not believe I received the room I originally paid for. I can neither recommend this hotel or Booking.Com.

Enjoyed the Graz on Main and The Perch was a nice benefit although we did not utilize it.

The air conditioner in the room did not work very well.

The rooms were updated and very clean. The restaurant on the premises was also very good with reasonable prices. Can’t beat the ice cold water with lemon and the soft chocolate chip cookies at the front desk every afternoon! Staff were very polite and accommodating.
