Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. The staff is always exceptional...from doormen to cleaning folks to reception (Amrit is a rockstar)...these people are real. Room is perfect and comfy with enough pizazz but not over the top and a true gym that is actually useful. Turning down the blankets at night is a nice touch!

United StatesThis is a very minor gripe, but I wasn't a huge fan of the shower. It was a bit noisier than expected when starting it up. It didn't impact anything, was just a little confusing at first.
I originally found this hotel when looking for a recommendation for a friend of my wife who was visiting the area. We ended up staying here ourselves and were quite happy with our choice. Location is obviously very convenient, staff were very polite and helpful, and the quality is quite high. Our room also had the best blackout curtains I've ever experienced in a hotel room, which is very appreciated for a finicky sleeper.

United StatesSome of the city sounds weren't blocked out as well as I would have hoped. We were on the 7th floor but could hear vagrants (?) shouting to each other down below at 3 AM. Also, beware that the prices are high for any amenities here ... like $7.50 for a cappuccino at the cafe downstairs.
We had an excellent room with very comfortable beds. The lobby is fashionable and inviting, and every single employee was super friendly. This hotel is also in a great location right on Dupont Circle.

United StatesThe room was stuffy, you could smell the dust, and the windows didn’t open so we couldn’t really air it out. I got really congested from it. Also the shower wouldn’t drain. it was clogged and whatever was in the drain would wash back up. it was pretty disgusting actually. We told the front but no one ever addressed it.

United StatesThis is a stylish comfortable hotel. The staff is gracious. The rooms are comfortable including a reclining couch next to the window with a view, and a great desk. It’s layout is superb, cozy comfortable lobby with. Fireplace and reading material, a great bar that looks out on to DuPont Circle. Nice restaurants, coffe bar with pastries. A cross the street are other restaurants great shopping a Sunday farmers market. Metro is a small block away. We have stayed there twice in the last 6 months.it feels like a home away from home.
