it was clean, but it wasn’t like hospital clean like one expects from hotel. like the shower is stained from a lot of use. it still seemed clean but not pretty like expected.

it feels very provisto but at the same time it’s a hotel so it feels safe and quiet and there are shampoos and stuff. no self cleanup needed.

Great place to stay. Vibrant area but not much noise, well nothing that kept me awake. Big room with everything needed and nice, clean and tidy.

There are only two lockers large enough to fit suitcases and they were already being used when we arrived. We had to leave our luggage unattended for hours until check in at 4pm. It would be good to put some extra lockers in. The toilet was also exceptionally loud and there was a bit of mould in the shower.

The property is well equipped and beautiful. Location is great.

the fact that there was no reception and the digital way to enter the building which didn't work one night when it was raining and I got stuck outside the building. The TV was only streaming type no antenna so wasn't possible for me to watch any thing during my stay.

The verification system had not worked for me as international guest (despite early verification in home country). Made check-in a little complicated, issue was resolved on the spot. The aircon was too loud

SONDER is in a lively part of Philly and highly recommended if you wish to discover the touristy sites as well as backstreets and nice restaurants etc.

there are not many lights in the room except a few lamps and only 1 window with blinds too thick too fully open. this meant the room was dark in majority of the main common areas all day and made the room feel abit gloomy. The shower also had some mould spots not cleaned prior to our arrival.

We have struggled with the coffee machine and with casting a movie on the tv using the chrome cast that comes with the apartment.

This summer we travelled the US-east coast and stayed in 3 sonder apartments: Philadelphia, Washington and Orlando. First 2: only my wife and myself, while our grown-up daughters joined us in Orlando. We are very enthusiastic about all sonder apartments: they offer great value for money, are modern and/or well maintained, clean, on good locations and provided with comfortable beds. On top of that, their customer service (direct contact, phone, chat) is of excellent quality when we approached them for unusual check-in/out possibilities and they contacted us on lost items even before we found out that we left something. For future trips I will definitely check sonder first for places to stay. Philly: nice, historical building; located above good restaurant; vibrant area; city bikes just across the street; liberty bell within walking distance.

The hot water went out twice and the tv did not work that well. We also had a corner unit so we heard everything that was happening outside the building..not very well insulated unfortunately.

Street noise was a little more than expected. Sounds of people arguing, yelling at each other, loud music and engine noises from cars, sirens etc.

Nice and good-sized room, comfortable bed. Good wi-fi, central location. Easy app-based checkin. Had some questions about luggage storage and Sonder support staff was very helpful.

bottles of water in the fridge would have been a nice touch and a little pocket book about the area

evrything was online or text message which made it very simple process to check-in and out. the room was clean and spacious. place at 1234 locust st was basically 15-20min walk to downtown and uptown.

Nothing everything is perfect but you need at least to handle app in your phone as the property is very technical in the process of checking in and getting access to the property.

Everything I want to see in Philly was very accessible because of this hotel, from tourist destinations, bus and trains are just a few distance away including food outlet/restaurant and shopping. You will also be able to see the city architectures very near in this site.

we did not know what to do with our garbage and food waste when getting takeout, etc. We also found the bedsheets to be as loud as wrapping paper which woke everyone up all night

The AC was very loud (but we were thankful for it), also there was a gap in the door to the room, so we could very clearly hear what other people were saying in the room opposite from us.

The size of the room was above normal, nice and clean, in a great location.

The AC didn’t work well in my room - I’m perpetually cold at night, but I woke up a few times overheating. I noticed that even though I had set the AC to 70° it never went below 73° at night and I found it up to 75°. There’s also clearly staff members or hotel guests smoking within the property, which made the shared spaces stink at certain times of day. Given the great location in Center City, you can expect the street to be a bit noisy. Perhaps better insulation would help keep noise out and make the room temperature more comfortable.

The property was located within walking distance of many great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and attractions, as well as public transportation. The room felt spacious and was beautifully renovated in a way that kept some original charm of the building.

Not really bad aspect, more like a personal opinion, not a huge fan of not having a reception, It feels warmer when you arrive and visit a new city! Still, the stay was great, just another type of accommodation!

The location is perfect! The fully remote instructions are easy to get, and you feel independent very quickly. The room was really clean and comfy!

The pillows were soft and lumpy.

Plenty of space. Had everything we needed. Comfy bed. Great location. When we wanted to contact someone we used the chat in the Sonder app and got someone straight away.
