Could use a touch up of paint and the top bunk did not have a safety rail in the bunk room. Also damage in the room was not repaired. Tube TV from the dark ages. The stairs up to the room were difficult with luggage, and no elevator.

Had a quaint feel, felt cozy when you walked in. The bar was serving only VT spirits which is great. Chicken wings were amazing. Friendly crowd.

It would be nice if the room with a sink and a queen-size bed also had a toilet. Also, the door between the two rooms needs some WD-40 to stop it from squeaking as it opens and closes.

The location was amazing--across the street from Magic Mountain. It is nice to have a restaurant on premises. Our room and a half was spacious, with two full-size beds separated with a door from a queen-size bed in a room that also had a sink.

There was one staff person to check in guests and run the bar as well as wait on all diners in the small restaurant. Wait time was a while to get checked in and long wait to get food in restaurant. Room was small and bathroom very small. Hard to figure out how the heat worked in the room with no instructions and no one to call and ask.

    Cute lodge. Bed was comfortable.

The property is very outdated, so I am in agreement with the other reviews there. And I’m sure Vince knows this as well! But, these renovations take time and money. So I understand. This lodge has a lot of potential. When you first walk in the smell is interesting lol. I know this is a pet friendly lodge so they have to be careful using any scents around the pets. But maybe adding some sort of freshener that is pet safe? It’s not a BAD smell, it’s just musty (?) I guess. This one isn’t an easy fix at all so no points taken off here lol but the only way upstairs is quite literally the stairs. This makes for a tough time if you have some luggage. And they are a bit steep so watch your step 🙂 The bed was very noisy, a little hard but once you’re laying in it, it forms to your shape I’m assuming it’s memory foam. Woke up with a bit of a stiff neck/back but honestly I’ve slept in worse. Not a big deal on my end. You can hear everything, the walls are thin and they do allow pets so you will hear them running back and forth which I didn’t mind. But just be mindful that you will hear noise! I also heard a lot of banging at around 10pm, not sure what that was about but I was able to tune it out. I think one of the first things worth updating here would be adding a smart tv to replace the old style box TV’s. Doesn’t have to be big, but being able to log into our netflix would be a huge game changer for us so I’m sure it would appease many as well. But again, these things cost money. A mini fridge & microwave would be beneficial as well. We stayed in two places prior to our stay here, as we traveled across Maine and NH as well. Both had microwave and mini fridge and it was helpful for the nights we wanted to heat up leftovers or preserve anything we bought during our vacation that needed to be refrigerated. We always come prepared with a carry cooler so we were okay- but just another idea for the future!

Going into this knowing it is mainly for ski lodging- I was a bit more gracious with what to expect although year round lodging. I appreciated the warm greeting from Vince, he does allll the things for this property. He was out checking the pool levels daily, mowing, checking in, etc. All with a smile! That goes a long way. My spouse and I booked the room with the spa tub in the room which obviously was my favorite part. We used it several times during our two night stay. Everything was very clean and sanitary.

A little noisy at night with the heating. Not too bad, but if you are a light sleeper, it may bother you. Luckily we were all tired from skiing, this was not an issue.

Very Pet friendly, including the lounge and bar area. We have a puppy, who didn't want to be alone in the room. So, we had him with us in the bar for dinner.
