Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThere’s a lot of construction going on in the street and at one point there was tons of garbage that we just had to walk by. I know that’s pretty normal for New York, but it still is not fantastic to look at or smell.
It was close to many things that we wanted to do. The staff was helpful answering our questions. The beds were very comfortable. I slept like a rock, which surprised me because I know New York is very noisy.

United States1. Luggage storage - This hotel DOES allow you to drop your bag pre-check in and post-check out, which is a must in Manhattan. That said, it's all kept in an unsecured room anybody can walk in and out of at any time, grabbing any bag they so choose. At minimum, I'd prefer the hotel lock the door and give tickets, then have you drop your bag. 2. Room service - The room service here is actually terrible. Our first attempt was simple: a $5 sugar free red bull that was on their menu and available to order. They called us 20 minutes later to tell us they didn't have it but had full sugar version. Fine, they bring it up another 30 minutes later. Our second attempt was breakfast the day of check out. We ordered 2 toasted bagels with cream cheese, a parfait, and a glass of orange juice. 20 minutes later they call and don't have the parfait but can't refund a singular item from an order. I have to place a new order and they'll refund the 1st one. Except they refund my new order (so now unsure if I'm getting my food and if I'm getting money back for that overpriced parfait). 20 more minutes pass and I call just asking for a total refund because we've already given up and ordered DoorDash. They confirm, then 5 minutes later they show up with a small cup of orange juice (half the volume of the photo) and a handful of small, untoasted bagels with single serve packets of jam, butter, and Nutella. Not a single thing was the same size, description, or visual as the menu. We immediately threw it out. TL;DR: don't order room service. It's a rip off, and there's a $1.50 slice like 90 seconds away.
The property was clean, comfortable, and very spacious for a NYC stay. There are 4 elevators, so you're rarely waiting long for one. It's also a 2 minute walk from the 34th & Penn Subway station, which makes it incredibly easy to get all over the island. The front desk staff was also excellent, particularly on our day of check in when Crystal helped us out! She really went above and beyond to help us out and resolve a small issue with our booking, allowing us to start our vacation stress free.

United StatesSome of the lights in the room didn’t work. Phone in the room didn’t work. No free hot breakfast that was initially advertised on Booking.com. Very little info about the Hotel …usually there is a binder, or booklet in the room that tells you all in the ins ,and outs about the place you are staying, but that wasn’t the case. Staff seemed tired , disconnected, and unmotivated. I was never issued a receipt. Usually they either slide it under the door, or you pick it up when you turn in your key in the morning, but again nothing..I monitor my credit consistently, so as long as I don’t see any errant charges I guess it’s not a big deal. Just odd…
Great Location. Relatively easy to find. Room was comfortable, it was a cold snowy night and the room was very well heated. Lots of space in the room with extra bedding (which wasn’t needed as it was only me)..Plenty of Linens and Storage Space. Free Keurig Coffee and Tea.. I had a good nights sleep.

United StatesThe floors were in major need of mopping and were borderline sticky in a few places. Both pull out couch mattresses were broken down and barely useable - the springs and mattress need replacing. We stayed in rooms 401 and 414.
We stayed in two of the premium family rooms with a large group of 15. Loved that there were two bathroom in each unit. Queen beds were comfortable.

CanadaStaff very rude, typical new york style. Facilities old. Room was too cold. Window was leaking cold air from.outside and the room heater sounded too loud like a hair dryer. Staff could not provide a cup of ice from the bar and the ice machine was constantly out of service. Instead, they asked me to go buy outside even when I insisted it was for medice use, back pain relief. Room service was good tough and no carpet floor. I could have the best value for my money booking other hotels had I scheduled my trip earlier. I advise you to do the same.
