How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our stay was too short. We were passing through and found this place through booking.com for an exceptional rate. We loved that it had a living room area and a bedroom. It was directly across from the ocean. It was quiet and relaxing. Even the ability to choose breakfast items was a plus.

Everything was great
Great get away. Very comfortable, loved the two showerheads shower. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Didn't want to leave.

Did not like that our cabin was connected to another cabin. Noise from neighbor walking in boots at 6 a.m. woke me up too early. Also the coffee maker was difficult to use.
Location near ocean but without access to ocean or view. Breakfast sufficient, delivered evening before.

Our cottage was clean and comfortable. Everything we expected. Both the living room and bedroom have TV’s. Constructive criticism: there really should be an extra blanket this time of year (October), and unfortunately there was no heating in the bathroom. Not so good was the wi-fi – VERY slow in our room.

The property was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our family. The price was reasonable, the staff were so helpful and kind, and the hot tube in our cabin was AMAZING! This is the first time I felt rested after a family trip.

The water pressure in the shower was on the low side and a night light in the bathroom would have been helpful.
Well maintained and peaceful setting. Close to Sue-Meg state park for hiking and beach combing. The cabin was well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. We could hear seals barking in the morning.

We liked the breakfast delivery, but maybe more options/hot breakfast would have elevated our experience. Such a minor thing though, we thought our stay was perfect regardless!
Beautiful view and wonderful, spacious room! We greatly enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace and jetted bathtub, and the extensive kitchen facilities.

We were told we were in a room with a view, but the view was of the highway and an Inn across the road. I understand why they said we had the view side room, because the room / cabin we were in was part of a two apartment /cabin building and the other "cabin" presumably viewed only the grounds (I didn't go around to look). It was a minor misnomer which didn't affect our stay.
We had a small Queen Suite cabin and it was delightful. The cabin was clean and well appointed with dishes, cutlery, a small fridge (yet much larger than a bar fridge), microwave, toaster, kettle and a small sink. It meant that we could heat a prepared meal (from the grocery store deli) in the microwave and enjoy it in the room. To our surprise, View Crest also provides a continental breakfast, delivered to your room the night before, that you prepare in your own cabin. Again this was a delightful surprise.

Maybe a little cheap with coffee and breakfast options. I would have expected several coffee options for breakfast. Also, requested butter and got margarine. Was very strange because everything else was fab.
Charming cottage, loved the 2 bedrooms and hot tub in separate room. Pretty and private. Very comfortable beds with luxury pillows.

Kitchen is not available so breakfast was a bagel and oatmeal.
All was so great we stayed another night and the staff relocated our luggage to the new room while we hiked
