How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The website stated the indoor pool was Open, when I got there it was closed and when I mentioned their web site I was told by the front desk clerk (don't know what to tell you, I don't control the web site not my issue). Also I asked for an extra blanket and I was charged for the blanket, again by the front desk clerk I was told since I didn't have an extra person on the reservation I didn't need the blanket so I would have to pay for it
The location was good and near the attractions that I was there for. The housekeeping staff was wonderful friendly, and very helpful on area attractions.

The pool was not working and the rooms don’t have microwave. That’s was the main things we missed. But they have a microwave in the venture room.
The room was clean and they clean it every day! we like the staff and the breakfast.

There aren't a lot of options in Kayenta and at least the price is okay. However, it is a bit run down and doesn't feel clean. Staff and breakfast were good.

Nothing everything was good.
Every time I come into town I stay at this location because the location is perfect and reasonably priced. The breakfast was good and housekeeping went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

a little rundown, checking staff could be a little more friendly and explain the facility amenities for example breakfast, microwave location we found it by accident another guest was getting ice and the door was open

It is a low budget motel with premium price. 1.The clerk claimed that the motel is full meanwhile I was only guest there. 2. The Wi-Fi doesn't work 3. The carpet in the room is so dirty that smells like a wet dog. Just imagine the gazillion bacteria that lives in that carpet. 4. No microwave they do not advertise it true but it would help a little. I rather sleep in the car than stay in this overpriced dump.
Location, it was quiet because the motel was empty.

The front desk staff at the time of check in was rude. Moreover, she threatened not to provide me with a room if I didn't accept her rudeness, knowing that it was late night and I had already paid for the room. In case she doesn't provide me with room I had very little options to stay. I had booked my room many weeks in advance and had not anticipated this scenario

Breakfast didn't have too much choice. I stayed for several different hotels and found out they have same breakfast, seems like they all have the same supplier. The hotel is a little bit away from the city center, if you are looking for a restaurant you need to drive 5-10 mins.
The room is clean and comfortable. Had a good sleep

Continental breakfast left something to be desired. It would be good to maybe have a non-peeled option for the boiled eggs. Oh and the TV remote was confusing, so I wasn't sure if the TV ever worked. It did say something about dish alignment. I just used my phone so it wasn't a problem that the TV didn't really seem to work.
The rooms were very clean.

All was great
It was quiet, clean with large room and comfortable beds. Great breakfast with the most unusual and easy to use pancake machine (never seen one before)! Staff were wonderful and the gift shop had very nice merchandise, not cheap and tacky. We would stay again.

Nothing. The price was high, but well worth it.
The room was pricier than what we usually paid, since it was close to Monument Valley, with a beautiful view of the mountains. But it was well worth the money! A very large room, excellent bed and bath, very clean, everything working, and a good continental breakfast (better than average). Everything had a Native American motif, being in Navajo territory.
