Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe booked a twin room but they were not able to give us one, they also tried to put us in a smaller room with no sea view which we had booked and paid for. When trying to resolve this with staff they were rude and unhelpful. On our first night we had no hot water in the room, told a member of staff who said it didn't matter as I was going to bed so only needed to quickly stand under it. Long wait times in restaurant and when ordering drinks from the bar, asked for salt one night in the restaurant and the waitress brought it when I had finished my meal and said ' I was busy'. Hotel offered no apology for room issues or for the service we received. Would not go back here based on my experience. Location wasn't great but they do offer a shuttle service around the island which is great. Friends had stayed here before and recommended but said it was different staff.
Nice hotel, rooms were lovely, nice views, Glen was friendly and helpful. Hotel provide shuttle service to get about island.

United KingdomHaving stayed at this hotel previously was really looking forward to returning. However was disappointing the customer service previously received was not on point. When requesting salt whilst having dinner how can it turn up as we finish eating and the response for the delay is 'I was busy'. If the staff don't want to provide customer service they truly are in the wrong industry. Breakfast was good however no options for any guests if you had any intolerances. Only full fat milk/cream served so only black coffee or herbal tea is an option if you like hot drinks. Room wasnt cleaned for duration of stay- had to ask for new towels as they had not been collected from shower floor, hot water was lukewarm for majority of stay. If it hadn't been for Glen I honestly don't know what we would've done- he is the epitome of customer service and thoroughly deserves a raise as its left to him to fix any/ all issues.
The overall location was lovely, nice pool, view (if you had a sea view room) gorgeous. Rum punches and pina coladas were also well appreciated.

SwedenSecond time reviewing in less than two weeks. I returned - I need to emphasize how good Spring Hotels customer service is. Thank you so much, Glen, Tammy, Jason and all the rest. You get free shuttle rides down the hill to pretty much anywhere you want on the island. Don't even get me started on the food at their restaurant. I believe I tried every single item on their menu over my eight day stay. YUMMY

DenmarkThe hotel is NOT located close by the beach as currently indicated on booking.com. Instead it is located a 45 min hike from the ferry terminal. They do offer shuttle services, but unless the timing works perfectly, expect to pay for taxis back and forth to port Elizabeth.

United StatesIt was so remote that .I was reliant on the hotel shuttle. Glenn was a great guy though. He went out of his way to pick me up and drop me off at different places and beaches.
The view from my room was breathtaking. The staff were friendly and warm.

United KingdomI had really been looking forward to staying here and could not have been more disappointed, a truly awful stay from start to finish. The hotel is not located where Booking.com shows it to be, instead it is a 45 minute uphill slog or expensive taxi drive from anywhere you might actually want to visit and the hotel shuttle is limited to say the least. There was no-one to pick me up at the ferry, despite being told there would be; my room was unclean and depressing - like staying in university halls with an ironing board propped against the wall; and the "swimming pool" is more of an ornamental pond. Finally, whilst initially pleased at the offer of the hotel to drop my bags at the ferry, so I could enjoy longer at the beach, they didn't come at the time they insisted on and I had to wait for almost an hour - with increasingly panicked phone calls asking where they were, as I thought I was going to miss the ferry. A horrible ending to my visit to Bequia.
The breakfast was OK.

United KingdomOnly thing I can point out which is health and safety. Is the railings at the lounging area below the breakfast area, the gaps needs be filled in. I would be concerned for small children.
It was low season so me and my two friends basically had the hotel to ourselves🤗We had a lovely time, the staff were accommodating and friendly. The hotel located up in the hills with great views. Very relaxing and tranquil. Which is what we needed. You really felt like your were on an island away from it all. Big thanks to Glen for looking after us running the shuttle bus daily taken us to the beach ⛱️ and picking us up, giving us local knowledge about bequia. Also Tammy for servicing breakfast and cocktails with smile 😘 also Brandon / Jason and cleaning ladies. Thanks for making are stay enjoyable, Hope to see you soon 😊 Joanne Pam and Sharon.
