The hostel lobby is open all the time and quite hot during daytime because there is no door.

I checked in 9 Hostel last July, because its location is good. It's a new hostel and offered good prices (100k). This year, as more foreign tourists are coming to Vietnam, hotel prices went up everywhere. However, 9 Hostel is still cheaper than other hostels and always sold out. The English skills of staff inproved a lot. Duc speaks fluent English and is ready to offer help. There's also hot water available to make tea or coffee.

It was not that clean but cannot call it dirty, its okey for solo traveler. Giant pillows not comfortable to sleep.

The ceiling in the room had peeling paint due to a plumbing issue above. Each time we came back to the room there were bits of paint on the bed and ground. We were notified of the issue when we arrived but not beforehand. The team offered free cancellation or to pay 1 night instead of 3 and take it from there. It was late notice so we paid the 1 night and then the following morning we paid the next 2 just for convenience of not moving.

Good location, staff were nice. Checked in at around 10:10pm and no issues with late check in. Good wifi

Elevator works going up esp. When u have suitcase. Staffs are very helpful and nice. Rooftop is good esp early morning when u see the bustling street. Easy to go everywhere.

I stayed at "9 Hostle and Suites" for about a month. It is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, so it is convenient to get around. Bed, Bathrooms and Toilet service is good. I also recognize a cleaning lady (Unknown) who works hard early in the morning. I like to relax in the living room. I would especially like to praise the lady, Duc Can, I sometimes see at the reception desk. Not only does she do her duty, but also she is friendly and caring towards her guests. I will always remember this hostel because of the two of them.

The people in dorm are very polite and respectful. They keep the room quiet and whisper to each other in order not to disturb others, even in day time. Its a superb traveller's manner.

The unpredictable behavior of the front desk who can take your bed for another one when you have confirmed the bed for 7 days the night before. Worse, the guy moved a guest who booked for 7 days to accommodate a guest who booked for 1 day, just to have more sheets to clean and to go thru more check ins and check outs, let alone the inconvenience to the guest. Like usual, his excuse is the new night staff!who didn’t communicate well !!! The move didn’t happen by itself and the baloney he gave me ! This has happened before but I let it slide. The same one also improvised the cancellation rule. I booked 4 days ahead directly with the hostel but said that I will confirm within a day if I find another place for all the consecutive days I need. As I cancelled within the day and have 3 more days left ,he said that as I book and cancel there should be a way to charge! Even booking.com allows you to cancel the day before you arrive. And he allows himself to aggravate the guest with his own rules. I told him to contact his boss or booking.com for cancellation rules. As other front desk receptionists are very good at filling the beds when needed like Hieu or Huy, he is good at emptying the beds! He is only the exception and the rest at the reception is very pleasant, cheerful and polite. The smell of cheap deodorizer ( the pine trees hangers people put in cars) is horrible and toxic. We complained. It is better now and there is no need to use them. It was fine before the pine trees and bathroom sprays come. I love the natural herb bushes they used to hang in the dorms.. What happened?

Bads are so much softy and spring type, It could be little hard. No free water dispenser and no ear plugs is there. Beer was expensive.

The hostel is just by the highway so you can hear the sound of vehicles all day.

Soft bed with privacy curtain, cleanliness is maintained, good enough space in the room. Staff are helpful
