Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceI loved my stay here. The staff is lovely and full of good advice. The dorms are large, as are the beds, and it's always clean. If you're looking for a quiet environment in Hoi An, yet close to the old town (20 minutes on foot), Calm House 2 is the perfect place. I even stayed there for two extra nights.

QatarThis place really took me by surprise on how beautiful it was. It's right by the river, and I really liked the fact that I saw some needlefish, ducks, and lizards. The hosts are super friendly, and both spoke English very well. The rooms are really well kept and clean. The waiting area is beautiful with the view of the river. The bathroom, along with the water pressure, is really good. The food was amazing as well, and I was served some complimentary tea. It's just around 1.5 km away from the lantern river and an hour driver away from the bamboo forest. Amazing location, good food, and amazing overall. Highly recommend this place

Lovely stay! Hosts are great and super helpful and welcoming. Great recommendations for activities, events and food from the host family as well. Tried as much as possible, all perfect!! Location is at a quieter part which was for me the best. It was super easy to go to the center with bike. Laundry service was excellent, too. Would stay here again.

AustriaI loved my stay there! The hosts (a married couple) are just the sweetest, super attentive, warm hearted and helpful. Both speak very good English and are ready to help with anything. Upon arrival I was asked to take a seat and got offered a tea and some fruit and had a wee chat with the owner. I felt very welcome and comfy right away. Also I got a tasty breakfast already at seven in the morning as I was leaving early. Generally, the place is beautiful! The interior is beautifully furnished and designed and the whole place is extremely clean. I stayed in the dorm. Which felt nicely private still because of the curtains around the bed. The location is perfect for anyone who likes to stay in a nice and calmer area. It still very close to the old town by bicycle or motorbike. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Hoi an!

United KingdomWe were so glad we chose to stay here. The house and the room were beautiful with a lovely view over the river. Such a peaceful place to sleep being woken up by the birds singing in the morning. Our hosts were so lovely and welcoming and organised very good value taxi rides to and from Da Nang airport/train station for us - cheaper than grab. There are bikes to use and it’s a short 15 minute walk to the old town. The location was perfect.

United KingdomFrom beginning to end, this trip was fantastic.! Anna was amazing, such a great host, and she organised everything we needed help with. We felt at home. Such a fantastic, friendly family. We really also adored their rescue kitten Mickey, who they'd hand reared as a baby, he's super cute. Beautiful comfortable room. Loved our 6 day stay.

GermanyAs it is by the river there tend to be more mosquitos - however, as long as you're prepared it will still be possible to spend a good time there,
The location was excellent. A 15-20 minute walk to the old town, so away from the noise but still close enough to just go there for a nice stroll. The Hoi An Memorys show is a 5-10 minutes walk away and an absolute must do if you enjoy musical type shows. The homestay itself is at the river and the rooms have an excellent view with the possibility to see the sunset. The breakfast varies depending on what you like/can eat but in general it can be discussed with Huon. Some local specialities were also breakfast options. The homestay is extremely clean and has a nice large bathroom (dormitory) in which the shower and toilet are separated. Huon and Hai also speak an excellent english, ensuring a smooth communication. Due to that they were able to give great advices and were generally very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

FranceOne of the best hostels I have ever been to in Vietnam. Not only a hostel but also a homestay! Everything was amazing during my stay. Huong and her husband are lovely people, always ready to help you. The house is located in front of the water, a very calm and chill place to have breakfast in the morning. The room and bathrooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and filling. Rent of bikes and motorbikes for a very affordable price. Plenty of restaurants around to get dinner. Good area to stay to avoid the crowd of the city center. You just need to book here, that's the best option :D.

FranceRosy and Lee are the best hosts I met so far in asia. They are so welcoming, nice and thoughtful, it was an absolute pleasure to spend some time with them. The place is also amazingly quiet and beautiful. I loved all the activities Rosy offered for a very fair price and the egg coffee she taught us to do was delicious. You can go with your eyes closed.
