Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shower and ‘bath’ if you could call it that facilities were not so great.
They gave us a free beer upon entry, a good bar joined right onto the property, good location.

They are too keen on keeping the passport to allow check-in. Room was a just about okay.

The rooms AC didn’t work very well and it was very hot when trying to sleep It can be very loud at night due to the hostel being so close to everything but it usually settles around 11pm
Really good location also bang In The centre of everything Staff were lovely and the rooms were spacious

The bed was quite hard and the bath/ shower was a little awkward to use.
The location is excellent, walking distance from great restaurants and bars and the hostel bar is lively with pool tables and awesome decor!

shower is over the toilet, no real locker in room
the staff is super friendly and on request we were allowed to check in two hours before the official check-in. The hotel itself is fairly old, but at under $15 a night including breakfast, it's a great value. The breakfast was also very good 👍 Bare in mind it is in a bar street, so during weekends it can get a bit noisy until midnight, but not longer. The hotel bar itself has live music though :)

Bathroom wasn’t clean when we arrived, dirty floor mat. Bar staff were extremely rude - one night we asked to pay our bill by card and they said no we can’t. 2 minutes later another couple go and pay with card? Also checking out was awful - again said we couldn’t pay by card, when I asked them previously before we arrived if we could. didn’t even say thank you or anything. No free water. You can get cheaper buses elsewhere - don’t book them here. We booked a city tour through these and it stated we would get to see a martial arts show but we didn’t…
Location was amazing, in the middle of everything, good nightlife around. Motorbike rental was quick, easy and cheap

Location is fabulous. Complimentary breakfast is really good. Stayed in 4 people's dorm with private bathroom. The pub downstairs is lively and have such a great vibe. I highly recommend this place. Near bar, restaurants.

Room felt shabby. Zero sound-proofing so I got no sleep due to street noise. Mattress incredibly thin so I could feel the bed frame through it. The bar and restaurant definitely gave backpacker vibes. I personally wouldn’t visit again.
I visited here with G Adventures but booked a private double room. It was well located for dining options.

Expensive for what you get. Room did not meet my expectations, didn’t seem particularly clean either. Bar has loud music till around midnight and walls are very thin so could be hard to sleep for some.
The bar attached to the hostel is cool. The neighbourhood is also very nice and the staff were friendly.

in the evening it was very loud but it’s kinda known for being a party place so it’s fair

Not a nice booking experience, nor a nice check in experience. I had 5 hotels in Hue under the radar, but by the time I booked, only 2 of them had rooms left. Booked close to midnight on the 17th and received confirmation with free cancellation until the 27th! A few minutes later, just after midnight, when it had just turned the 18th, I got a message saying they needed a phone number to confirm the reservation (What if I didn't have that? My home network doesn't work in Vietnam) AND they wanted 50 % payment within 12h! If they want payment, they should take it through booking.com! International transfers are time-consuming to arrange, cost an arm and a leg, and take ages to clear! It was already too late to cancel! And with rooms in Hue filling up fast, what to do if I only maybe had a room! Then upon check in, they wanted to keep my passport! No way! There is no such requirement in Vietnam. The passport stays with me. Everything was okay in the end but I would be cautious.
The room was excellent. Spotless clean and spacious. I was lucky and had a table and chair on the common balcony, just outside my room. The aircon worked perfectly. The restaurant is excellent and atmospheric although pricey. There is also a separate bar next to the restaurant. Superb location right in the thick of things. Despite the noisy area, the room was surprisingly quiet.

No. According to my experience, I enjoy all the parts.
The location is superb! You can have massage and money exchange instantly. Booking bus ticket is also very accessible.

hard beds, not very clean, bad locks for the door, and for some reason they lock the doors at night so we could not go inside anymore??
the locations is really nice and the restaurant is better than the hostel.
