Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomShort staffed, they didn't pick the phones at reception We had two suites with city views booked but only actually were given one, and the staff were defensive about that which was not acceptable.
Great location! Good sound proofing If you want to pick a room make sure you get the suite room with the view. Decent for a short stay.

IrelandThe hotel is located on a noisy road - would not recommend to anyone wanting to sleep early. The pictures from the hotel are taken on their sister hotel which we ended up walking into by mistake as it looked like the pictures however, ours was 5 minute walk away.
The staff were friendly.

FranceExtremely noisy & DON'T Reserve ay services like cruises with the hotel. I received a lot of requests from the hotel beforehand to book a cruise or other service through them. Very responsive but never clear, each time there was a new problem, I had to change cruise 3 times after booking I had only setbacks afterwards, the day before I was again announced a change, I waited 1 hour for a return transport that was not the one planned & took one more hour with plenty of unexpected stops, same for the room in the cruise that was not respected. The hotel room was not available on the 1st evening, in short I could write 4 pages but I'm very very receptive and above all it's really extremely noisy, some rooms are simply opposite a rooftop which is a club until 2am. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
it's well located if you want to be in the center of the old quarter, everything is just around the corner.

Australia3 beds in a single long bedroom is strange. One bathroom to share between six people and 4 beds is not ideal.
Great location, right in the middle of old quarter. English speaking and enthusiastic staff which was helpful. The rooms are fairly spacious and comfortable.

SpainThe pressure of the shower was not so good. Also hot water didn’t come out so hot. Could always hear our neighbors plus the noise coming from outside (it is basically located at the Beer Street, always busy at nights), so if you have issues with noise, I would recommend you to look for accommodation in another area. I would say for the amount of money you pay (50$ a night), I would expect some better small details.
Staff was very kind. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Located in the Old Quarter, so it’s close to everything you need.

MalaysiaThe location is in the most happening so called beer street where all street restaurants and bars are blasting really loud music till very late. For those coming to party might be good location, but we were traveling with family and had all days planed out of trips and needed proper sleep. One night the music was so loud that windows, doors and even TV was vibrating in our room on the 9th floor (top floor), that's when we asked for a change in the room, which hotel willingly accommodated. There are plenty of central location similar hotels around just one - two streets away that are quiet. This was our biggest mistake for 5 nights in Hanoi. We also booked a driver for a day trip through the hotel, and it was one of the most unpleasant drivers we had through the entire trip. The car smelled of cigarets, driver was vaping in the car while driving, his driving was not safe and very poor attitude. We had to call hotel to communicate to the driver.
The staff was very helpful, even before the stay was very proactively communicating. During the stay helped to organise day trip and transport. Upon complaints about noise from the street that made windows and doors vibrate, staff has changed the room which was a bit more quiet and also offered free transport to the airport upon check out.

Norway- It takes 5 minutes before the water in the shower gets warm - The bathroom gets completely flooded while showering - The breakfast, room and reception is not like the pictures - The beds are not comfortable - Its hard to sleep because of the bar street which is location 1 minute from the hotel When we told the staff about our problems with the hotel they gave us a discount if we would not write a bad review on Booking.com
Didn't like anything about this stay. The hotel look nothing like the pictures, its completely worn down.

United KingdomThere was loud drilling outside our room from 8am one morning (we only arrived at 4am so not happy to be woken up at this time). The hallways could do with redecorating as seemed really old/tired, lots of scratches and chips to the paint and skirting boards crumbling away. Photos made the hotel look quite fancy but didn’t feel like this at all when staying.
This hotel was really central, right on ‘pub street’ and only a few minutes walk to a lot of main sights in Hanoi. Although it was in a busy area, wasn’t loud at night and had a really comfortable nights sleep. The staff were really kind and helpful throughout our stay. Bed was comfy and aircon was perfect.

SingaporeThe room felt old and not maintained well. Shower temperature keeps fluctuating and there is a foul smell coming out of the air conditioner when we select cool air so we had to keep the warm air option.

South AfricaSince the hotel is on beer street, it is extremely noisy until the wee hours of the morning. Friday and Saturday is walking street so no cars can come to the hotel until after midnight. The rooms were quite small. The hotel charges a 3% surcharge when the accommodation is paid for via a credit card, this was not communicated upfront.
It is conveniently located in the Old Quarter and is close to all the main attractions. The hotel offers free luggage storage, bananas and cookies.

United StatesThere were a lot of ants on my bed one night and backpack and I had to spend time dealing with them - freaked me out a bit. The shower also didn’t drain. Granted ants seem to be unavoidable in SE Asia generally. A bit run down and pictures aren’t super reflective of the state of the hotel.
It was in a convenient location and they seemed to be flexible about check in as long as there are rooms available

AustraliaRooms were smaller than expected and are misleading in photos. Facilities are quite average but it would have been good to get complementary breakfast.
We arrived at a very busy hour with the family on Saturday late night. One employee carried all our luggage down the busy street, something we would never have been able to do ourselves. The location is quite good but not for everyone. Another good thing is staff were quick to communicate when I organised a tour last minute via WhatsApp.
