The location is right in heart of beer street so very busy with loud music at night esp weekend, but very easy access to main areas and to get around. We had a room at rear so it didn't bother us.

The staff were great always ready to please. Rooms were clean and reasonable.

This property is part of a chain of hotels all by nearly the same name. the photos were not of this actual hotel but another. The room aircons did not work, no windows and tried to put the room rate up to $500 USD for an extra night. Breakfast was also bad quality. would not recommend this hotel or any by a similar name that are part of the same chain.

Dated rooms, can use a refurbishment. Hotel was very hot throughout. Location is in a busy street, beer street, so keep party noise in consideration at night.

The beds were hard and although I requested a room with a large double and a single I got a large double and bunk bed for my daughter. Left no space in the room and led to us being cluttered together. Photos showed rooms with the same requested set up and it looked spacious. Photo did not represent the requested services.

We felt a bit cheated on arrival. The hotel did not match the standards of its online listing. It is stated that it is a 4 star hotel and has great reviews but it is in need of thorough update. It is very scruffy, the breakfast choice and presentation is poor. There were flies and ants around the food and some in the room. We were unsure how this hotel managed to look so much better than it is, until after we left and I got messages from the hotel trying to guilt me into leaving a positive review. They said if I left a review less than 9 the staff would be fined. Well, I'm sorry for the staff but if reviews on here aren't honest then the whole system breaks down and travelers like us are tricked. The pictures of your selected room online are misleading. We chose a suite with a city view, and it turned out they included the picture from a family room and from a cruise in the listing for the room we chose. Also the photos show lovely looking food - but this is also from a cruise. We booked this hotel based on photos that do not reflect the reality. The room we were given was very roughly painted and dark. After we complained they changed our room to a slightly better one, though still very scruffy and with stains on the wall. There was a blocked shower drain which they promptly addressed but this only partially stopped the shower from overflowing. The staff were a mixed bag, some were very friendly but some weren't very engaging. Housekeeping was great and clean though. If you are a light sleeper don't book as the hotel is located on the very noisy beer street. This didn't bother us though as we booked for 2 nights only, and it gets quieter around midnight. In comparison to the Solaria Hotel we stayed at the beginning of our holiday in Hanoi (also 4 stars) the Silk hotel performed very poorly.

The location is excellent if you can stand the noise from Beer Street. Some of the staff were very friendly and quick to help. The room was a good size.

Great location to move around old quarter, hotel has a noise cutting balcony door tho hotel located on the Beer Street. Hotel breakfast is great, hotel gave my dad a birthday surprise leaving him a good memory in Hanoi. Comfortable bed and shower, lift is available within building for easy luggage moving. Hotel Watsapp platform is great for easy communication.

Rooms were relatively small so limited space to put luggages especially if there are 3 or more people in the room. The noise is ridiculously loud, and the staff did forewarn us. Bring your ear plugs or headsets if you want any sleep. We were in the high level, back rooms and it was still very loud. It was are first stop in Viet Nam so we were jet lagged and needed to sleep.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Great that they provided 3 free water bottles each day. Breakfast options were very good from the menu plus fresh fruits, pastries, and coffee and juice are available. The location is close to many restaurants and walking distance to the lake, but the noise level is very loud as the hotel is located on Beer Alley where patrons partied every night until the morning hours.

Hotel is not clean and the customer service couldn't solve the problem very well. Hotel condition is very poor and old. The room is small. I don't think it's deserve 4 stars hotel and customers should not trust the valuation.

It’s very shabby and totally not a four star hotel. Lots of scuffs and stains are everywhere. Dust in every corner of the rooms as they don’t hoover but only sweep. The bathrooms were not in clean condition at all.

I have to say, everything was fine, the location is perfect, room facilities was ok with everything. Until checkout, the staff gave us a paper to score, I filled out the paper with my truth feeling, and when I came back to get my languages, they forced me to change my score, which is from average 7 to 8. It just didn’t feel right when they do that, I didn’t even give a mean score, 7 should be above the average already. I’m not in the school facing teachers ask me to do my homework, am I?

Very deceiving pictures on booking: we thought to be in the wrong hotel because the lobby didnt look like the pictures at all, same for the rooms. Small beds and small outdated room. AC makes a lot of noise and is badly positioned.

The website states that this hotel accepts American Express, which it doesn't. After a long flight and a cab ride from the airport we didn't need the added stress of searching through our luggage to try to find an alternative method of payment. The price I paid included a taxi transfer from airport to hotel. The required link with info on how to book this taxi never arrived so I then had to organise my own transport which added stress to our journey. On top of that I wasn't allowed to use the service to book a taxi from the hotel to the airport (because apparently it only works one way) and I wasn't offered any sort of compensation even though a taxi transfer was included in the price of the room. So that is two instances of false advertisement that I experienced in one day.

The room was fine and as expected, very close to everyhting. Staff were polite. We went on a cruise to Ha Long Bay and the staff gave us a travel bag with water and breakfast items in which was a nice touch. The a/c was really effective and quiet, we slept very well.

The overall service of the room could have been very much better. It was quite noisy throughout the night.

The hotel was located in the city center, which made access easier. The staff was kind enough to assist with all the queries.
