Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Ella pointed out a really nice tour of Hanoi. Rooms are tidy and clean. On Sunday evenings there's a street festival in beer street.

It can be a bit noisy at night as it is right on Bia St if noise is a problem for you. The noise didn’t bother me. I had a front room with a terrace.
Prior to arrival I received a message from the hotel from Josie welcoming me and offering pick up and tours. All his was organised efficiently by WhatsApp. The hotel is in a brilliant location for sightseeing and access to restaurants and places of interest. All the staff were very nice and very helpful.

Josie was a great welcomer, she helped us during our stay. It is a bit noisy outside because of a bar right in front but we stayed at the back of the hotel and it was quieter and we had a great stay.

Nothing. Good value for money close by to amenities in Hanoi.
Great central location (although this does mean there is some noise from outside). This was not a problem for me as I had ear plugs and it didn’t last after midnight. The staff are incredibly helpful here - particularly Ella and Noah. They helped me check in early after travelling overnight and also assisted me with booking two extra nights in their sister hotel when my plans changed. They even transferred my luggage for free. Thank you Ella and Noah.

The only downside is that it can get quite noisy in the evening if your room faces the street, as the area is a popular nightlife spot.
The hotel was excellent – the rooms were clean and had everything you needed. What stood out the most, however, was the staff. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel’s central location is also a big plus, as everything is within walking distance.

Occasional late night noise due to the central location
Right in the heart of Hanoi. Staff were very helpful especially Miss Josie who helped us sorted our onward trip to Halong Bay.

Really the biggest “selling point” of this hotel is their staff! They’re really kind, service minded and communicative. Noah helped us with many things that hotel staff normally don’t assist with. You rarely get this level of service. And Josie, she’s also so kind, helping us call the authorities and ask about visa things. 10/10!

Since my room was located towards the street it was a bit noisy. The reception offered earplugs to help.
The hotel is located in the Old quarter and is well situated. The reception team, especially Ella was amazing. She helped look for restaurants in the area, book a taxi and called my airport ride to coordinate and even informed about tips to avail of discounts available on the taxi rides.

We complained about the toilet bust it was fixed straight ahead.
Location of the hotel is in the centre of Hanoi old quarter and everything is almost just walking distance from the hotel. As well the hotel fixes tours to Halong Bay or any other places you have in mind and transportation to and from the airport at good prices. So for a family with 3 kids it was trouble free to think about those stuff and just focus on them. The staff are very friendly and professional and approachable, ready to answer any questions you have on mind.

The hotel is amazing the only thing I would say was a bit of a let down was the staffs attitude towards trying to get us to review. At the end of the stay they stand over you and force you to write something on the spot even if it’s super early in the morning, I just found it unnecessary as we were planning on reviewing this amazingly anyway but being forced or expected to do something always makes you feel a bit off. I would just recommend the staff to not do this in the future and it is very uncomfortable and cheapens the hotels atmosphere.
Very comfortable beds and such good location. The hotel is super central but is really well insulated so it’s really quiet inside. It’s also very clean which is such a plus in the centre of the city!
