However the hotel is just not like the images and is unclean. Lots of mould in bathroom and dirty sheets. The window of our room was also smashed.

Some bedsheets were stained. There was a leak in the sink that dropped directly onto the bathroom floor. It wasn't 'clean', but was okay for the price paid. The light switch for the bathroom was hanging off the wall

The rooms do not look like they do in the pictures. Very dirty (mould build up through the bathroom and aircon). No bed sheets or quilt covers. No water provided. Balcony door broken and would not close. Quite disappointing, as it is not the cheapest option around either.

Good location if you are wanting to be in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi (note that it is a very noisy street though!).

The room facility is very old and minor broken not same as what shown on the photo. No mineral water or coffee provided in the room only kettle to boil the water. One of the towel conditions was torn and wear on the edge. Still use packet shampoo and bath gel. Toilet exhaust fan is very noisy. This facility needs major maintenance.

Location is good near center of attraction area. Walking distance to lake and shop. Reception can speak English. Bed is comfortable.

Had the room I booked and the bedsheets were clearly not cleaned as there were hairs all around. So I had a second room given under the excuse it was an upgrade. The room was clearly worse in quality and dirty as well, so I had to stand by the front desk insisting to get a clean set of sheets and change them myself .

The whole place felt dirty. Carpets were engraved with stains and dirt. Bathrooms were grimy. Door to balcony had a gap in so the noise from the street was very loud. Superior family room was just an extra mattress on the floor so there was no room at all to walk around beds or put our bags.

Location was good to walk right out the door into the hectic hanoi streets.

Needs a lot of improvement. Customer service needs to be better. Cleaning bedsheets and towels need to be done better because we have seen ketchup stains and stuff on the "clean" bedsheets.

The SPOC - Mr Tuan, is very pleasant and helpful. He arranged an airport pick-up for us at the last minute without any kind of trouble and helped us get to the hotel safely. He helped us get a good deal for Halong Bay as well. The location of the hostel is crazy good - everything you need to see inside Hanoi Old Quarters is within walking distance. But I'm disappointed that the room or the hotel doesn't look like in the picture. We had booked a superior family room for 4. It was a small room with no balcony. When we got there, Tuan mentioned that there was some work going on adjacent to the room, so if it was noisy, he could give us a room in another wing. The noise was unbearable, so we got another room for 3 with a balcony facing the street. The room lighting was dim, the sheets were not cleaned well and look like even the bathroom wasn't cleaned well. But we were tired from a long journey, so we took it and slept off. The next day onwards, the drilling and other sounds started coming from outside this room as well, making it really difficult to be inside the room at any point of the day, even to take a quick rest after the walking. 3 small bottles of water were free (1 for each person), but we had to go and ask for it every day. Otherwise, it was not refilled during the everyday cleaning. When you ask for additional water, they will charge you 10000 VND for small bottle and 20k for big one. It took a while for us to realize this was a rip off! If you go outside and buy it from a Circle K (which is there in every nook and corner of the city) the small bottle, you can get for 5 to 7k and big one for 11 to 13k.

no window so room had bad damp smell from shower didn’t get room I booked - paid for superior double, was given a basic room with 3 single beds so very hostel vibes no lift access - had to take a lift to a different floor and drag suitcase down very steep steps have a kettle but nothing to make tea or coffee with electrics aren’t maintained - my aircon shortcuited at 4am which meant 3 hours of non stop beeping, not good when you have an early start. no one to report it to as reception isn’t 24 hours

staff are amazing - kept in touch with us throughout pre checkin and during our stay, giving us helpful tips on the area and a map. They were kind and helpful and the real charm of the hotel rooms are clean location couldn’t be better quiet (no window so no room noise) so excellent sleep toiletries provided I only needed a cheap base for exploring Hanoi and then going to halong bay which is exactly what I got here

The pictures online and in person are too different. Really run down, never repair spoiled lights, dirty and dusty balcony.I would say if a luxury for backpackers, but it’s definitely not recommended for normal ordinary holidays traveller.
