Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

sheets were dirty. Loud renovation and drilling from 3am. Front desk argued about dirty sheets.

The place is nothing like the photos now , maybe it was once upon a time. Bugs / Mosquitoes / the bathroom was incredibly smelly even without using. Room was in tatters Light fixures missing , half lights dont work, mix match of yellow and white lights in room. Until there is some serious renovation this place is not fit for tourists. There are many many hotels in this locality opt for those. Also for the next few months there is some demolition / construction work going on unbearable sound and vibrations at times. I was giving the option of canceling my booking, I tried exercising wasted close to an hour but last moment rates were sky high for marginally better rooms so instead of wasting any more time looking for hotels I bared the hotel and instead enjoyed the sights Hanoi had to offer. Booking.com please de-list.

unfortunately the property next door was having MAJOR works done so it was VERY noisy. but we were only making a quick pit stop before onwards travel so didn’t affect us too much.
location is great, you’re easily accessible to old quarter & surrounds. The staff member, Stone on the front desk was super friendly and helpful at check in.

A bit old and does not have a restaurant though it looked like they used to have. Overall it's okay since you shouldn't expect too much for the price.
The property was in a good location, not too busy. Was a 5minute walk from the lake. The staff was always very helpful and attentive even if they were a small and budget friendly hotel.

I would go elsewhere for guided tours and transport options.
Good location in the old quarter. Busy street, but no late night bars, so it’s relatively quiet. Rooms are fine. Staff are friendly.

The room was very humid so the sheets felt a bit wet but weren’t. Weird feeling.
The location is very good. The elevator is a good point too.

Curveball being switched to different hotel but worked our well.
Transfered to sister hotel "Little Diamond". In center of action. Near Beer Street. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast at good price. Cool balcony in room. English movie channels.

The facilitie are a little basic and old but everything is in working order. We were in the superior family room which was a bit small for 3 persons.
Very helpful and friendly staff on reception. Very keen to help. The location of the hotel is excellent near one of the lakes so good for walks. Exeellent laundry and taxi service.
