Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe price seemed to expensive compared to our other accomodations in Vietnam. The location is great in the hart of the old town. Staff was ok. Next door travel agency helped us a lot with tours , transportation and money exchange.

CambodiaI wish the place could’ve been cleaned more regularly and as it is an older building, some of the plugs did not fit properly into the outlets. The building also doesn’t come with a proper lock or key and unfortunately I had an incident with a motorcyclist who I did not request a ride from trying to follow me into the hostel.
Staff were all very kind and welcoming and really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I do believe the rooms themselves were fair for what I paid for even if it looks a bit different in person.

United KingdomThe curtains dont completely cover the bunk bed. There were no towels included that I could see. The laundry price was maybe about 50k per kilo, which I thought is a bit much. These are minor things though.
The area is good. Its beside the train track coffee shop place. The staff were friendly and converstional. The essentials were there. Early check in was possible too. In terms of hospitality, I'd stay here again.

CanadaI checked the previous reviews before choosing to book. I can agree with some of the ‘smells’ etc, but it is still a valued stay. Beds were comfy and clean. Great location. The staff was absolutely lovely; so kind, helpful and accommodating. You get what you pay for :):)

PhilippinesThere was no elevator. It was so hard to carry 3 20kgs luggages up & down. The bathroom also needs a renovation, it was big but i cant really tell if its clean or dirty or just needs remodelling.
The location is good because it's in the city center & near the train street.

IndiaThe hostel which I booked had a total of 9 bunk beds and it was a lower, middle and upper. I requested then for lower or middle one as I have severe back pain but it was unavailable and I had to manage with the upper bed for three nights which was kind of painful to me.
The good part about this hostel is the location which is a few km away from a very famous train street. The hostel staff was friendly, but it was difficult to communicate with them google Translate managed it well somehow. The washroom was clean with 24x7 hot water.

SpainThe pictures are a bit misleading, room doesn't have a window only a balcony door on the side so it gets a bit gloomy. Bathroom was in a pretty bad condition with some holes in the wall - some partly covered with stickers. Calling the room "superior" doesn't seem fair.
Very good central location, walking distance to the old quarter. Spacious room.

HungaryVery minimal, just as clean and comfortable as you need, but nothing more. Not an enjoyable hostel, but just fine. There are almost no windows, the only one is facing a rather unpleasant neighborhood. The room was cold, and there was no heating option on the aircon.
Perfect location, helpful staff, we could pay by card or cash.

SwedenThey also operate as a travel agency. We booked some day trips outside hanoi and they worked fine. But we also booked a “luxury” bus from Hanoi to Luang Prabang. It was a complete nightmare. We arrived 7 hours later and the staff treated the travellers like cattle. No toilet, at one time we waited 8 hours for a toilet break! They also used the buss to ship parcels that took up so much space so we had to climb over other passengers to get to our tiny seats. And the hotel won’t take any responsibility.
Very central. The staff was friendly and helpful.

United KingdomVery friendly staff, they have been extremely helpful helping me book a bus to Hoi An. Shower room is basic but there is hot water and the shower drains well. Initially I was worried about the triple bunk, but they are very sturdy. I was in the middle bunk I could not feel other people moving around at all. The dorm room is not luxury but it is very comfortable with good AC. Great value for money, I would stay here again.
