Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandRoom was spotlessly clean, they gave free bikes to cycle to the town, we received a free cooking course when we stayed for four nights. Breakfast was very good, eggs, cereals and pastries as well as traditional Vietnamese foods.

AustraliaNothing! The only thing to note is the location of the hotel is a 15-20min walk from the centre of Hoi An (the Japanese bridge area). I didn’t mind the walk as it meant the hotel was quiet and you got to escape from the craziness of the inner city. Just good to note!
The hotel is beautiful, more beautiful than expected. The room was a nice size with all the amenities needed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff more than accommodating for our every need! Truly a fantastic experience.

United KingdomThe staff were lovely. Despite late check in they provided us with a welcome drink and set up the room for our anniversary. The room was big and nicely decorated, good AC. Enjoyed both the pools and the breakfast. Location was a short walk away from the centre and the hotel puts on a shuttle to the beach during the day. Bike rental was easy.

United KingdomThe roof pool and bar are just not very nice and super loud music. The spa is just massage rooms, no jacuzzi or anything like that. But the rooms are beautiful, having breakfast by the ground floor pool is amazing, and the receptionist were amazing, tended to all our needs, arranged our tours and scooter rental.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing
It is rare that the photos and description do not exaggerate a property to encourage you to book it. This place does the opposite as th photos and descriptions do not do it justice. This is a perfect hotel. It has everything that is described but it is of higher quality and more beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous, unbelievably comfortable bedding, lots of hot water, fabulous bathtub. I changed from a pool view as I prefer to wake to weather and I was thrilled with my balcony views. The staff are so so amazing. Beyond charming is a genuine way. Breakfast is really great, especially for us with gluten and other issues, always lots of excellent food. I cannot praise this hotel any higher. If they made one mistake it is that beside the bed draws rather than tables would be better, but, I will always stay in this hotel when I am in Hoi An

NorwayNothing to complain about. Nice hotel for a nice price. The breakfast was the best we had in Vietnam so far. Friendly and helpful staff, and free bikes which is a very good way to get around and see the city.

AustraliaWe had booked an economy room which was located in the basement with water pipes running along it. This wouldn't have been a problem if not for the incredible loud noise which made us unable to get any sleep our first night. However, the staff was lovely and moved us to their other hotel with a room upgrade for free as they didn't have any rooms at the hotel we booked available. This left us living a bit further from old town, but with bikes to borrow, it was fine.
The hotel and staff are really lovely. The breakfast buffet was nice and so was the gym (though not the biggest). Even with the room issue, the staff were super lovely and moved us to their other hotel with a free upgrade. Would definitely recommend staying here but maybe avoid the economy rooms if they are in the basement

CanadaNothing. I would recommend this hotel.
I think the hotel is fairly new. The room was beautifully decorated and a decent size with a small balcony. Huge, comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Good location for wandering around Old Town with free use of bicycles. 2 big glass bottles of water per day are provided so that was great to cut down on plastic. The silk robes in the room were a nice luxury. The breakfast buffet had a decent spread with an egg station and a nice selection of fresh fruit. The rooftop pool is a bit small with very few loungers. We often used the rooftop patio which was one level higher than the pool. The laundry service seemed a bit expensive so we used one that was right beside the hotel for half the price and it was excellent. The free shuttle to the beach was great too. We learned after our check in that the economy rooms with Booking.com are in the basement. We paid extra ( after the check in ) for a second floor room otherwise I think this would be a much different review of the property.

United KingdomSoundproofing was really poor. You could hear everything from the room upstairs (when they showered, flushed the toilet, etc) and when people walked and talked in the corridor. Our room was inward facing, where the pool is located - and I think for that reason, the bedding and our clothes were always a bit damp, even if we kept the windows and balcony shut.
The front-desk staff was definitely the highlight of our stay - they helped us with anything we needed or wanted, booking tickets and tours, renting bikes, doing laundry, etc. They went above and beyond what we needed and expected. The rooms were clean and comfortable, housekeeping was done daily with change of towels and toiletries. The breakfast was great, with lots of options including a dedicated person cooking eggs and noddles on request. Location was good, outside the old town but a fairly pleasant and short walk by the river, away from traffic.

IrelandI tavelled a lot in Vietnam/SE Asia, this was my favorite hotel! The room was spacious and comfortable and hotel facilities with pools and gym were excellent. The buffet brekfast was fantastic, so much choice and variety! Location wise its a short 10 min walk to the Ancient town of Hoi An. Bicycles are provided and also a shuttle bus to the beach! (free!) Most of all, what made the hotel really special for me, was the staff, they are so wonderful! Special thanks to all the reception staff who were always so kind. I can see how much you care to make the holiday a very happy memory! :)))

United KingdomThe Babylon riverside hotel is perfectly located, being out of the busy old town but just a short walk/cycle away. The hotel is clean and the staff made sure we were happy. They were so helpful with booking excursions, even when we wanted to do something that was different to any of their provided yours. We will definitely be back!
