We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandA really authentic area of the island. I loved this property, it’s so green and all the staff are lovely (including the cute dogs)! It made me energized and happy to be here. The resort shouldn’t really be called Beachfront as there is no real beach. There is a stone wall built between the land and the sea. You can definitely access the sea through the stairs, and it’s amazing for snorkeling and swimming (I saw 10+ seastars right by the entrance!). It’s a great spot to enjoy the sea but not to spend a day on the ”beach”. But due to the construction the beach/sand part is not very nice to stay on and it’s not a natural beach anymore, the sand is not fluffy etc. It would almost be better of they made a grass garden for tanning here instead. You can borrow snorkles for free but bring your own if you want to be guaranteed a non leaking one. There are multiple amazing food places and delicious street food close to the hotel, I borrowed a bicycle for free and that was my favorite part. I could cycle around and eat around locals, seeing very few or none other tourists stop in this area. The breakfast at the hotel lacks what’s amazing about Vietnamese food; an abundance of herbs and condiments, hence I cannot recommend it.

United KingdomIf you like snorkelling there are tropical fish, starfish and crabs to spot -appreciate this is however a fishing village town.
We had an excellent time and Toai was an amazing host. Nothing was too much trouble. This place is perfect if you like to experience the real Vietnam. Positioned on the less touristy part of the island, the local town was authentic, good to explore with great local food. Nice to retreat back to Hula Hula with large rooms with comfy bed and plenty of hot water. While there are some beautiful beaches elsewhere we had a room with a seaview which was worth it to have breakfast and watch the world go by. With complimentary kayaks, snorkel and bikes to get you in and out of town. Really recommend for those that like modest accommodation in a resort with 2 pools and lovely gardens. Would go back again. :)

United KingdomLovely place to come and stay in Phu Quoc. If you are looking for a relaxed beachside destination then Hula Hula is perfect. The site itself is very well maintained, with the rooms themselves very spacious and modern. The area itself is a traditional Vietnamese town which is a lovely experience, however slightly limited on places to go and explore without a mode of transports. The staff here are wonderful, they were always eager to help and responded immediately with any queries we had. Would recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam!

United KingdomThe wifi was a bit temperamental at times but everything else compensated for that .
What a gem of a find . The hotel is so charming with a fabulous beach . The swimming pool right outside our door was a dream. The beds were the comfiest we had experienced during our 4 weeks travelling around the island . Total bliss with pillows like clouds and a mattress topper to sink into . We will be back 😀

VietnamA few things to note: the sand isn’t the softest, and with many friendly dogs around, there’s some dog poop, so walking barefoot isn’t ideal. The coral reefs are fragile, and many have died due to tourists unknowingly stepping on them. The resort should educate visitors on responsible snorkeling and how to navigate the waters without harming marine life. Additionally, the shower water pressure was weak.
The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. One of the biggest highlights is the breathtaking beachfront location—just steps from the door! The crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life made it feel like swimming in a natural aquarium. Snorkeling right in front of the resort was an unforgettable experience. Another major plus is that the resort is far from touristy areas, offering a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, perfect for those looking to unwind and connect with nature.

AustraliaGetting the water temperature of the shower right felt like a bit of an art. But was overall grateful there was reliable hot water at all!!
Cute bungalows with direct access to a calm beach perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Felt extremely safe and relaxed the whole time, and was a great base to explore the quieter and more local areas of Phu Quoc. The owner took great care of us, met every request promptly, and had interesting stories to tell. Even drove us to the airport at 6am himself after his usual driver was late!

United KingdomOne or two of the dogs will bark at you if you enter the restaurant area/come back to the hotel without the owner around - it makes us feel secure the dogs protect the property but can be a little frightening for those abit scared of dogs! Shower pressure and temperature not 10/10 but wasn’t the worst :)
Gorgeous sea view from our room. The north of Phu Quoc is quiet, and this place is perfect for a relaxed and quiet getaway. Popular attractions (VinWonders, GrandWorld) are just a 10-15min bike ride away. 10-20min walk away from many market-style stores, pharmacies, salons, spas etc. Owner is very welcoming and friendly, reachable for anything you may need via WhatsApp, speaks great English and also taught us a few Vietnamese phrases. You can order food through WhatsApp and it is brought to your patio which is really handy, and scooter rental arranged for you upon request. Really cute dogs. Bed is the comfiest we’ve had in our 5 weeks travelling. Wi-fi, AC, safety deposit box, TV, fridge, bathroom amenities, all perfect and something we appreciate at a property. Mosquito net provided, thankfully we did not need it as we kept doors closed after 5pm unless coming and going. Overall a lovely quiet property for the price, with everything you could need within the property or within walking/driving distance.

VietnamHula is enjoyable, here you can fully enjoy the comfort and convenience during your stay. The hotel has rooms for standard and deluxe guests. The rooms are beautifully designed and refined. Each room has basic equipment such as television, air conditioner, refrigerator, hair dryer, … The space at the hotel is extremely clean and cool. The service attitude of the staff is very enthusiastic. When booking a room, I can also enjoy access to an outdoor swimming pool.

PolandWater in swimming pool was not really changed and was not very clean. Breakfast needs to be ordered day in advance thru app and you need to decide what you will be liking to eat in the morning (breakfast ala carte), however, selection is good and food tasty.
Great quiet place. If you are looking to relax, far from resorts, this is best choice. Far from resorts but still in small village, full of local restaurants and shops. We had a beachfront bungalow, room was spacious, we appreciated mosquito net as during the nights it was a challange to not be eaten ;) In front there is sand like on a beach and then breakwater, sea very warm but also there is a lot of corals and rocks so you need to go left or right to swim (not really a typical beach). There are sunbeds available and we requested for sunbed cover but never receive one, fortunately our Swedish neighbours borrowed us theirs ;) Unfortunately we were not able to kayak as there were no paddles :( We really liked additional swimming/pool towels. There was a possibility to use snorkeling equipment and owner organised for us scooter, much appreciated :) Owner in general, super kind and helpful
